The property was spacious for a family of 4. The children had a lot of space to play, especially in the snow outside.
The owners left out three sleds, three pairs of snowshoes, and a pair of hiking poles which was amazing! We were able to go on wintery hikes and bring the sleds with us for impromptu sledding. We made a fire in the fireplace; however didn’t really need it as the home was so cosy and warm the whole time (there is very good heating). We also used the sauna.
Although the owners left us reindeer food outside, we didn’t see any reindeers. However we did see a white rabbit. Clearly reindeers do come though as they leave a lot of droppings around the property!
The driveway was clear and it was easy to drive right up to the property. We went in early April and it was a warm April, so roads were generally clear.
Location is lovely! It’s very close to town, but not right in the middle of the town. I could go outside and see the Northern Lights without any light pollution, which I saw 2 out of our 3 nights (use relevant apps so that you know when to go outside!).
The property has fire wood, fire starters and matches which was very helpful!
The property’s kitchen also is well equipped. Lots of bowels, plates, cutlery. Really great not feeling like you’ll run out of crockery and cutlery for a family meal or two before you need to start the dishwasher.
We had a wonderful time and would happily stay here again if we were to return.
There was a washing machine but no tumble dryer. Instead, there are two foldable drying racks for air drying.
The appliances are working well, but they are quite dated and could be modernised. Not an issue though.
Note that you need to pay extra for towels (€5pp) bed linen (€10pp) and cleaning (€100) and it’s not included in the price. I believe this is how local cabins are let out, so is normal in Finland. However something to be mindful of as it’s not typically for places booked on booking.com. We had to go to the supermarket to withdraw cash to leave on the kitchen counter before departing, and also decided to clean / vacuum / take out all the trash before leaving too in order to save on the cleaning fee.
Overall the above are really not a big deal and written to flag to those coming.

全てが完璧でした。家に必要な物は全て揃っていて、部屋はとても暖かく、家を出るだけでオーロラが見れます。
また、トナカイに餌をあげる事が出来て素晴らしい。Markoさんも対応が早くとても素晴らしいホストです。

Everything! Beautiful house in the forest, just few steps from hiking trail and walking distance to the shops and restaurants. We loved big sauna and living room with a fireplace. Kitchen was very well equipped for cooking.
