Magical stay with friends or family

Amazing Location, a bit outside of the town with a beautiful view so perfect so see the Northenlight but still really close to the shop. Even if it's a small house it has 3 bedrooms so perfect to travel with friends or familly. The house is ver cute and nice. With a sauna

Nice White Christmas Experience

We stayed in 6 B 11. We enjoyed the open fire with wood supply, the sauna and the family friendly facilities; kitchen, washing machine. You need these things as there aren’t many options for eating out prior to about 3:00pm. The cottage creates a nice atmosphere for a winter stay over Christmas. Whilst the location is good, it is a fair walk to the centre of Saariselka.

It’s a little pokey for a family of 4 teenagers, mum & dad. The kitchen is tight with the dining table. The wash basin is in the toilet (separate from where the shower is) which is a very small room. It has the essentials and works ok. However, 4 of the beds are upstairs (the stairs are a bit treacherous but normal for a Finnish cottage) and as heat rises, it’s really hot without ventilation. We were under strict instruction by the owner to leave the aircon at 19 degrees due to the cost of energy and the general energy crisis (a global issue) however, frankly, it meant we burned more wood…. It was cold in the mornings. Between peak seasons the cottage could do with a thorough clean.

The appatment was very cosy , with a fireplace, the kitchen was equiptet with all necessary. The Cristmas decoration added to the good mood during our 3 day stay at Saariselka. The badròom was exelent with sauna.

The only minus was that the stairs toward the second floor is too steep and risky.

Comfortable, convenient, clean, well equipped, well located, scary stairs!

This apartment was well presented and had all mod cons. It was comfortable and clean and very well located, and definitely warm enough! The sauna was a useful extra for times when the outside air got a bit much and our bones needed de-icing :). Plenty of hot water, all the required cutlery and crockery and glassware, logs for the fire (note: needs very careful building and vents opened to avoid smoke coming inside the apartment), a warming & drying cupboard for wet boots and gloves and hats, basically everything you would need was right there and cleverly stored in the relatively small space.

Nervous parents would not like the stairs, which are close to being a ladder. This is obviously for space efficiency and the space utilisation in the apartment was excellent and welcome, but with small children I was sweating! We did know from the photographs that the stairs would be steep, just didn't appreciate how steep until we got there. A stair gate is provided which we balanced at the top during the night in case kids decided to get up and come find us in the dark, but even so I was careful to force my kids to go down in reverse and not to play on or near the stairs. Older children and adults should be fine.

Not well suited for 2 couples because most beds are on the loft. A little far from the village center where market and restaurants are located (15 min walk)

Semplicemente l’appartamento dei sogni!

L’appartamento è davvero la casa dei miei sogni! Immerso in un bellissimo paesaggio innevato, un ottima posizione per tutte le attività che abbiamo prenotato. Dotato di sauna, un bagno e una stanza diversa per la doccia (così, anche essendo in 6, siamo riusciti a dividerci bene). Pulitissimo, con tutto l’occorrente necessario per il nostro soggiorno: dalle stoviglie all’asciugatrice per i vestiti bagnati dalla neve. Era il perfetto rifugio per tornate dalle fantastiche (ma fredde) escursioni invernali. Ringrazio tanto l’host a nome di tutto il mio gruppo!

Huoneisto on passeli kahden hengen majoitukseen. Sijainti on hyvä ja siellä on kaikki, mitä lomailuun Saariselällä tarvitaan.

Oikeiden kanavien hakeminen TVstä oli hankalaa ilman ohjeistusta. Terassilla on mukava saunan jälkeen vilvoitella, mutta harmittavasti Suopunkitieltä on sinne suora näkymä. Takan käyttökiellosta olisi ollut korrektia kertoa jo varausvaiheessa.

Äkillinen majoitustarve; loistava huoneisto, hyvällä sijainnilla ja hinta/laatusuhteella.

Sijainti alimmaisessa talossa, lähimpänä rantaa oli erinomainen. Majoituimme koirien kanssa ja niiden ulkoiluttaminen oli helppoa. Meille majoituksen tarve tuli suunnittelemattomana, joten olimme positiivisesti yllättyneitä hinta/laatusuhteesta. Sijainti oli enemmän kuin uskalsimme odottaa, sillä koirien kanssa on käytännöllisempää olla keskustan hulinoista kauempana. Hyvin sisustettu, liikkuma varaa oli hyvin.

Die Lage war sehr ruhig und der Blick aus dem Wohn- und Esszimmer war direkt in ein verschneites Wäldchen und in die Natur. Der Pkw Stellplatz vor der Türe war auch sehr angenehm.

Die Toilette hatte kein Fenster und keine Lüftung, war sehr klein und gleichzeitig das Badezimmer. Die Dusche war extra im Bereich der Sauna und sehr gut. Wenn jemand ein richtiges Bad erwartet und braucht, ist hier fehl am Platz.

Eine hübsche Wohnung, zentrale Lage, mangelhafter Service

Ankunft gut, Anfangs Schwierigkeiten mit der Heizung. Im Bad war die Fußbodenheizung nicht an und dadurch (Fuß)kalt. Wir mussten die Tür zum Wohnraum offen lassen, damit es etwas wärmer wurde. Die Wohnung war gemütlich eingerichtet, in der Küche alles da, die Betten waren bequem. Die oberen Schlafräume haben keine Fenster, die Heizung nicht regulierbar, sodass es oben sehr stickig zum Schlafen war, vor allem wenn der Kamin vorher an war. Ein Durchlüften oben war dadurch nicht möglich. Leider war die Kommunikation mit dem Servicepersonal mühsam, wir bekamen fast nie eine Antwort. Am vorletzten Nachmittag wurde es so glatt, dass es gefährlich war, ins Haus zu kommen und morgens es zu verlassen. Es wurde nicht automatisch gestreut. Leider war ein Sturz die Folge. Wir behalfen uns mit Asche aus dem Ofen, um zu unserem Termin zu kommen. Erst Stunden später wurde, aufgrund unserer Nachricht an die Verwalter, das Stück bis zum Haus gestreut.

Geht, aber es geht auch besser

Die Wohnung war warm und der Ausblick ins Freie, unverbaut von anderen Häusern war gut. Die Sauna, die aber Standard ist, hat als Saunamöglichkeit gefallen. Als der bei booking genannte Toaster fehlte, haben wir am nächsten Tag einen neuen bekommen. Nicht gefallen hat uns: Zunächst ist die Wohnung in keinem Fall für 7 Personen geeignet. Es gibt zwei mini-schlafzimmer. Das "Doppelbett" mit 1.40m Breite war zwar bequem, aber für 2 Erwachsene zu klein. Es gab kaum ablageflächen, weil zu klein. Weiterhin funktionierte die Lampe hinter dem Bett nicht. 4 von 7 Betten sind im Obergeschoss. Dort beträgt die deckenhöhe ca. max. 1.65m. Als erwachsener war dieser Raum nicht nutzbar. Außerdem wäre es wegen der offenen Verbindung zur Küche und zum Wohnraum nachts unfassbar warm und schlafen schwer möglich. Bei der Auswahl der Wohnung über die booking-app wurde mir ein anderer Ort angezeigt. Darauf hatte ich mich bei der Buchung verlassen. Ja, ich hatte gesehen, dass es verschiedene locations gibt. Aber ich ging davon aus, dass entsprechend jede Anlage einen eigenen Eintrag hat. Statt im Zentrums zu sein, waren wir dann außerhalb und mussten für die Anreise mit schwerem Gepäck ein Taxi rufen. Zwar hat der Host auf meine Nachrichten reagiert, jedoch wurde unser Problem bis jetzt nicht richtig wahrgenommen, zumindest ist das mein Gefühl. Auch die Bilder in booking sind zusammengewürfelt und können nicht den einzelnen Wohnungen zugeordnet werden. Es gibt nur ein ganz kleines Bad mit Toilette und Waschbecken. Auch das ist für 7 Personen, ja selbst für 3 eine herausfindet. Ich hab mir die Zähne in der Küche geputzt. Die Sauna ist lediglich zum Sitzen geeignet, weil sehr klein. Die Küche ist an sich ok gewesen. Es fehlten nur der versprochene Toaster. Außerdem war die glaskaraffe zerbrochen, die Mülleimer dreckig und die Stühle sehr unbequem. Es gab keine geschirrhandtücher, weshalb wir ein badehandtuch dafür nutzen mussten.
