The location was good and we were able to visit the places we wanted to see as everywhere was a short distance away. The room we had was ok, good shower unfortunately the towels were on the small side so not ideal for an average sizes man. Good comfortable bed. The breakfast was cooked to order and was very good.
Our booking was not recorded probably, although it had been confirmed as being for Saturday night/ leaving Sunday morning by Booking .com the venue had us down for Sunday / Monday. I had booked a luxury room but this was unavailable on our arrival. The host did sort us out a room and gave us a battle of wine in compensation for the inconvenience.

I shared a deluxe twin room with my mother and my 2 brothers had deluxe double rooms with their partners. All 3 rooms were spacious, light, very clean, well equipped and beds very comfortable.
We were all very happy with our rooms and agreed our full english breakfasts were FANTASTIC too. Mark looked after us all very well. We would all highly recommend this property. Almost everything was spot on.
Only 2 very minor things to mention.
The bathmat didn't have a non-slip backing and so my elderly mum wouldn't dare stand on it so without slippers, it was cold underfoot in the bathroom.
The windows had been left open when we arrived and so the rooms were cold but after closing them, they soon warmed up to a comfortable temperature so only 2

Clean with all facilities needed. Quiet with friendly staff willing to go above and beyond to help.
Poor view from our window and a rattle on the door. Having said that it did not bother us too much.

Breakfast was great.
I donāt think for us there was much to do besides taking various walks .

Great location, nice walk to beach. Breakfast was amazing, if you like a full breakfast which is cooked to your order. Cereals, toast and fruit juices were also available.
Black out blinds would have helped, but appreciate not everyone sleeps as lightly as me and wake as it becomes light.

We liked the breakfast and Mark the owner. He was friendly to us at breakfast, unlike all of his staff who were the worst staff we have even come across anywhere in the world.
We went to this place not because there was an event near by or a wedding. We went as it was a vineyard near the beach. The place is in the middle of a field and the only coffee shop (on the premises) closes at 4pm. After this there are no refreshments, no dinner, no pubs, no fun, nothing! You canāt get around without a car too. We had to drive to find a pub. Do not boom this place if you are looking for a lovely weekend away! The owner Mark was lovely to us and did a great breakfast but that was the only pleasant thing. Also all his staff were unbelievably unfriendly, they just couldnāt be bothered to help us at all. Even when I said goodbye to them they all blanked me. Perhaps it was prejudiced due to the recent racial tensions in Essex. We wanted a tour of the vineyard but nothing was laid on. Overall I think they should not take bookings here as they are evidently only focused on their vineyard for producing wine. Guests are not important. My opinion is they should just shut up shop. Just simply run the vineyard and donāt waste peoples time. We drove for hours for a wonderful break but were left distressed and disappointed.

I might suggest rooms had a small fridge for customers. Nice to keep their drinks cold as very warm this weekend.
But just a suggestion..

Friendly staff. Nice location with views over vineyards. Good breakfast.
Basic rooms. Poor sound insulation and noisy showers could be heard from other rooms. Also noise of fans in brewery on all night. Hot summer night but still winter quilts on beds!

We loved the large, comfy bed and fantastic shower and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The breakfast was good with a lovely view of the vineyard from the breakfast room. Mersea is one of the few places we have returned to and it didn't disappoint.
. We would have preferred a room looking out to the vineyard or sea and would have liked black out curtains as woken early by the sunlight.

Beautiful location, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was delicious and Mark was happy to adapt what my daughter wanted. Loved it and so did my friends who were visiting from abroad
I knew about the tides on the causeway to Mersea but others may not know and booking.com should notify people/suggest they look up tides times on BBC website

Nothing dirty place stuff have a bad attitude.
Black mould in the shower tray and all around the mastic disgusting a massive crack in the wall the view was for a side looking at all there trucks and rubbish. No hot water we couldnāt stay in this property. It was unfit.

We loved the location and the view from the breakfast room. Comfortable beds with water and biscuits provided .
Mark was very friendly and helpful.
Excellent home made breakfast but possibly too much!
No pretty view from our window and the bedroom door did not lock from the inside. However, we felt so save we didnāt mention until the following morning.
Mark provided an excellent breakfast but seeing left overs from another guest and ourselves heās probably best to ask guests what theyād like to save on wastage!
