Hostel Neon Tenerife

This place is a little jewel.. It looks exactly as it does in the photos! Just 2 bus stops away from all the action in Los Cristianos and the bus stop is literally on the corner. There's also a bus stop in front that takes you to the airport. Although a nautical theme runs through the hostel, I literally felt like I was waking up on the set of mamma Mia everyday, its beautifully decorated. The room i stayed in was perfect! Room 21 great layout with the space provided a private shower, toilet and wash basin also a hairdryer and light up mirror in the room so no sharing which was the reason I chose this hostel along with the fact it has a tv too. The room was spotlessly clean on arrival. After a bad experience in an expensive hotel I now carry a blue light torch which shows up dirt, dust and stains. I only ask one thing on holiday if a rooms dirty i can clean it but the bed MUST be clean! as there's nothing I can do about that. The the room was cleaned to a very high standard and the bed was spotless. The room has a fridge and a great touch was 2 bottles of water waiting for you, bonus! And much appreciated. The bed...ive never slept so well in a long time! Extremely comfy, a sheet and light duvet is provided with a fleece throw on the shelving unit should you need it. There's a plug socket each side of the bed and another at the bottom of the bed. There's a balcony with table and chairs and the window in the room opens fully to let in air. The room can feel a little damp after showering because of the condensation and no extractor fan so this was great. A cooling fan is provided free of charge in the room also. There's a storage rack instead of a wardrobe which I really liked with enough hangers for my clothes and im sure if I had requested more it wouldnt have been a problem. There is a full length mirror.

That its classed as a hostel! (Unfortunately without a lift it carnt be classed as a hotel) This place is too nice!! and may get overlooked by guests who would love it just as much as I did. So forget the label hostel and think of a warm comfy space that's clean and friendly and well worth every single penny! The only fault I could find was somewhere to smoke before 10 am . I am a considerate smoker and had read the reviews of people saying they could smell smoke from people smoking outside so I crossed the road and sat on the curb in the parking area with a cup of coffee (i looked weird sat there but there was nowhere else to go) i bring a travel kettle and love a cuppa and a cigarette first thing.I was annoyed to see the people below my room sit on their balcony and light up with no consideration to anyone and I am wondering if this has happened with other guests and that's actually where the smell was coming from. As breakfast starts at 8 and people were up and about, rooms being cleaned it would be great if the rooftop smoking area could be changed to this time too.

A nice, clean room with everything You need, helpful staff, big free car parking just outside. Couple restaurants and shops nearby. Good base for exploring southern Tenerife. Easy chek-in and check-out.

The room isn't very spacious and walls are rather thin, You could hear a person sneezing in the other room. Balcony door didn't close.

We were contacted six times via WhatsApp and Booking. Isn't two times enough?

Neon didn't answer the phone when I arrived in Tenerife. So I never stayed at the hotel so I'm going to ask for a total refund as I have been let down. I had to make other arrangements and I'm staying for the duration of my break in Tenerife.
