Ona Hollywood Mirage

There is no guarantee of an early check in, check in is from 4pm, we were lucky that a room was available to us Our room was spacious and had everything we could need. Breakfast was good and there was a lot of choice. The second pool was where we spent our time, it was quieter than the main pool and there were always sun beds available, we were lucky that it was near our room. Our air conditioning wasn’t working properly and when we spoke to the staff about this, they were as helpful as possible. In fact, every member of staff we spoke to on the reception desk was helpful and pleasant. The children’s entertainers were fun and we’d like to especially thank David who kept our daughter and her friend thoroughly entertained during the Mexican evening.

The hotel is on top of a steep hill and whilst they provide a shuttle bus, it took us to the other end of the beach, away from where we wanted to be. It’s about a 15 minute walk down hill into the main resort and cost €7 for a taxi back. We were half board, and found dinner options to be less appealing than breakfast time, there was a lot less choice and it seemed cheaply done. If I went again I wouldn’t bother to book dinner. The main pool is extremely busy and loud. We didn’t actually get the chance to spend the day around that pool, the sunbeds all had towels on them by 9am each day, and we were a little too late. I didn’t fancy getting up super early just to claim a spot when the other pool suited us better anyway.

One of our favourite places to go. Very chilled and convenient to both the airport and all Tenerife has to offer.

Lovely place , clean , basic but more than comfortable. Staff were lovely , lovely pools and food bars if needed for a day by the pool

The location and the setting

Constant smell of cannabis smoke and the staff did nothing about it. We were told the cleaners would clean the room every 3 days and this changed to every 4 days. Our reservation included breakfast but they struggled to cater for gluten free as everything was cross contaminated.
