Brilliant stay! We'll be back

Accomodation and location was brilliant and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hosts were very helpful and the welcome scones were a lovely touch. Will be back!

We didn't appreciate beforehand that there's a schedule for the pool which allows each of the 7 accommodations on site to use the pool privately. It's a great idea but can dictate your day a bit!

Very well thought out had all of the equipment needed. Very comfortable and friendly, felt very safe Loved the Milkiosk and the fact that there was complementary milk , Coffee tea etc to start you off . Beautiful scones and ingredients for cream tea as a welcome. Spotlessly clean. Very infomative and up to date pack giving details of local attractions

Cosy, inviting, quiet, picturesque

It felt like home from home. The kitchen was well equipped. The scones, Jam and clotted cream was a nice touch. The bedding was of a very good standard. Clearly there has been thought put into this aspect and it makes a difference to sleep with quality bedding and pillows. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds and loved the pool and the hot tub. The system for using the pool at certain times, plus Flexi time seemed to work very well.

I think in our cottage the old brown leather sofas could be re-thought out. I think they could remove one sofa, turn the other so its against the wall and then perhaps add an arm chair. This would make the space feel larger in the living room area, as well as allow you to watch TV actually facing it, rather than it being to the side of you.

Amazing stay!

We had an amazing time at Sheldon Barn - great location and great value! The barn had everything we needed & the washer dryer was so handy with a baby and a toddler! Our kids loved the swimming pool & the allocated time slots were great as it ensured daily swimming time to ourselves. Providing scones and local milk was a lovely touch. Great shower & we loved the double sink and the super king sized bed. And it was really easy to communicate with Anne-Louise!

Perfect relaxing get away. the hot tub and pool were the icing on the cake….

The property is set in stunning grounds… is exceptionally clean and the towels/linen etc are really lovely quality. The added extra touches were wonderful too such as the cream tea on arrival / milk in the fridge / coffee / sugar etc. The nearest pub is the Thatched Inn c. 1 mile away so an easy drive or a 20 minute walk… Can highly recommend this property.

Hidden gem in Devon

E_V_E_R_Y_T_H_I_N_G !!! Room comfy and clean, equipped in all you need, good wifi, good location. And the POOL ! the pool beats all. Warm, good size for family + hot tub. PERFECT. If the owners could only influence the weather......

Very enjoyable and peaceful

The accommodation was excellent. Clean and everything that you would need was there. The little touches like milk in the fridge, scones on the side with cream and jam were so nice. You could start your holiday with a lovely cuppa and scone. The grounds are very well kept and the swimming pool and hot tub were excellent. The timetable for the pool was a very good idea and worked very well. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable holidy.

Good location for exploring, walking, food shopping, road network, pub choices.

Arrangement of pool roster didn’t work for us so unfortunately only used pool once. Think Individuals should be able to choose (first come first serve) on a daily basis, to fit their requirements.

Excellent location for a getaway and highly recommended

The accommodation was really lovely and in a great location with plenty of shops ,pubs etc nearby. A quick drive gets you into a several local towns, the largest being Bideford itself. The grounds of the house are really nice and I imagine a treat in summer months. The barn is clean, comfortable , well fitted with a large bathroom with twin sinks and walk in shower. Underfloor heating throughout if needed. The cream tea left for our arrival was very nice indeed !. The swimming pool / hot tub is great - all undercover , clean , warm and plenty big enough.
