The property was a great size and in the perfect location with everything you might need

We liked the location being away from the main tourist area. Plenty of shopping and dining within minutes. The host was just lovely and very helpful with suggestions and local knowledge. Short walk to the Vaporetto, nice local people around.

Fly screens were damaged and no lighting in the courtyard at night time

Location.

Only 1 towel per person. Requested some hand towels the day after we arrived by WhatsApp but no response from host. Message was read but ignored. Confronted by neighbour about using the deck area which was advertised for apartment use. We were quietly sitting enjoying the view and not disrespectful of the other residents. Travelled from Ireland to Milan and had to message host to find out how we got keys the following day. This left us anxious.

It was in a quiet neighbourhood, which we liked. The host was also responsive and quick to respond to an incident of vandalism that unfortunately occurred.

To be honest, we were a bit disappointed. Although jess was a great host, the place was a bit dirty and made us uncomfortable. Lots of spiderwebs, and unsealed holes in walls and ceiling were present. The house was a bit muggy and sticky, potentially due to humidity. There was a smell of sewerage occasionally wafting through, not sure where that was coming from. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable and we had to remove a cheap topper that had been put on the top which you sort of sank into and felt hot and stuffy when lying on. The bed linen also felt unclean and we felt itchy waking up.The wifi was also really bad and didn't reach the bedroom. When we used the kettle to boil water, some kind of sediment (possibly boiled mould or plastics) came out of the kettle and into our drinks. On top of this, we woke up one morning and someone had thrown rubbish and dog poo onto the front door. Jess was very apologetic and quick to clean up, which we appreciated. That wasnt her fault. This hasn't affected our review. I am leaving this feedback to help jess improve in the other areas as this wasn't cheap. I am comparing this to 12 other accomodations from our trip honestly, as it fell short.
