Home Boutique SMN was the perfect stay for our one night in Firenze before flying home. The hosts were welcoming, room very clean, and provided much appreciated cappuccino before we departed.
Room temperature couldn’t be regulated so a bit warmer than we’d like.

Our room was nice and quiet while being close to everything. Florence is a walkable city and being this close to the train station provided great access into and out of the city. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided 24 hour access to drinks and snacks. Breakfast was low key but they did provide plant-based milk for anyone not into dairy. They let us drop off our bags before check-in and leave the bags there after checkout which was super convenient! Very friendly environment.
I expected a bit more food at breakfast like eggs. Especially since it was mentioned to us the night before. That said, they offered plenty to eat.

The location close to train station
Needs to be better signposted.
The air conditioning was not working and it was very hot.
The owner was annoyed that we called him to look at the issue around 10 pm(we were trying to sort it for more then an hour and couldn't sleep, hence had to call him), he considered this as not an emergency. The situation led to arguments and eventually the owner did come and was again concentrating on how he had a bad day and he felt that we were being aggressive about the issue. There was no sympathy or apology initially towards the issue however he realised his stand as someone providing hospitality have to be more accountable. We suggested Fan as an alternative, there was some hesitation initially but he did get us one.
In the morning he was very apologetic and had someone to fix the Aircon. He even offered refund and wine which we declined. Overall it was a stressful and very hot night with no sleep.
