Great location and fun unique design throughout. Beds were super comfy and everything nice and clean

The flat is in a quiet courtyard with a view of the ocean and the Church of St Vincent de Fora next door. Taxi's and tuk-tuks Park here regularly which is very handy. It's just a short walk up the hill to a nice neighborhood with great food (We recommend Piteu). There's a great little flea market right down the street on Saturdays. The apartment felt very spacious and the woodwork was beautiful!

Not a problem for us, but be aware the driveway is very steep as are the stairs inside the apartment.

We stayed in the one bedroom, ground level apartment. The apartment is well situated on the high side of the Alfama district of Lisbon. It is spacious. There a many restaurants, bars and hole-in-the-wall shops to discover in the tiny, steep streets. It is close to Santa Apolonia station, and very close to the no. 28 tram which takes you into the town. It is in a quiet location.

This is an old building and as the owner freely admits, is in need of major renovations. He is a nice person and has been sick, but the apartment has not been maintained. The towels and bed linen are old ,( not nice) and need to be replaced- easy to do! The appliances are old, broken or simply not working 😕. ( I hope the owner fixes the air-conditioner before the summer, because even in October, this place gets hot.) People with mobility problems would find it difficult walking up the steep driveway and also negotiating the split-level apartment. (You need to go up and down a step to get in and out of the front door, bedroom, kitchen and even the toilet suite inside the bathroom. ) The TV is small, there is no cable service, it is dark. In my opinion it is in a good location, and spacious, but not worth the high rating. I think the "fabulous" reviews are for his other property.
