Location, clean and quiet and lots of room

Great secluded location with the house being surrounded by the forest, very close to the centre. Everything seemed to be clean and new. Overall nice mountain atmosphere with the fireplace.

The guy that was checking us in and out was not the most polite. When we have arrived we had to wait outside at the gate in the cold winter for him because he was late despite being in constant contact as to our arrival time. We had also told him that we would be with a cat in a carrier so waiting outside was really not something that we expected. Returning to the apartment requires going up quite a steep hill which is a bit exhausting. You have to buy your own wood for the fireplace which is hard to find. No apparent grocery shop nearby.

The location is very close to Zakopane town and if you have a car, supermarkets and all other attractions are close and easy to get to.

We stayed about 4 nights at Tatry. The springs from the mattress dug into our bones literally which isn’t great especially if you’ve had a long hike during the day. There were numerous stains on the sofa, futon bed and bed so doesn’t appear as clean as the photos show. When we there, one of the two hairdryers has smoke coming out and when we let the host know, she just said ‘oh but the other one is working’. It just was not very safe as we have a young toddler with us. In reality, the apartment looks a lot more tired than what their photos show. We moved to another apartment after Tatry and should we have known, we would have moved earlier as the hosts there were a lot friendlier and gave us travel tips etc.
