The climb up the hill to the apartment may be difficult for some with mobility issues

Overall, Votsalo Apartments are clean, comfortable and well maintained in a beautiful location. My experience was that the ground-floor accommodation felt dark and lacked both sunshine and privacy, and Kalami itself was quieter and more tourism-focused than I had anticipated.

I stayed in a ground-floor apartment at Votsalo Apartments and found both positives and negatives that future travellers may want to consider. The apartment was kept exceptionally clean throughout my stay, and housekeeping was very efficient. The bed was comfortable and the standard of cleaning was excellent. The room itself was quite dark, however, and there were very few conveniently located power sockets, with only one usable socket beside the bed and another positioned high on the wall near the bathroom. My ground-floor terrace received very little direct sunlight during the day. Travellers who prioritise having a sunny outdoor space for relaxing or sunbathing may wish to check the location of their apartment before booking. Privacy was also more limited than I expected, as staff regularly crossed in front of my terrace to access the washing machines. This did not affect the cleanliness of the property, which was excellent, but it did make the outdoor space feel less private.

Location was AMAZING. Ideal for those who love Kalami. A very short walk down to the beach and in walking distance of everything in town. A beautiful view for low costs.

Rooms were not sound proof so you could hear rooms next door going to the toilet etc. I think there would be no harm in giving the rooms a bit of modernisation (i.e new lampshade that is falling apart).

Location and view from terrace is great. Cleaners came in periodically.

It really needs updating and some loving. The bathroom is ugly, the lounge has two settees that don’t fit. There is no feeling of luxury. No wiping clothes, 2 sachets of coffee only and a strange selections of utensils. The lighting is poor. We also had to ring an hour before we got there to find out how to access the property and a key was just left in the door.
