Holiday at Alexanderplatz Apartments

The location and the cleanliness

Well, there’s a sewer gas smell that can be very strong. Otherwise I would have rated higher.

Our apartment was comfortable, spacious, clean and in general in very good condition. Some of the furniture shows minor signs of use, but nothing that affects comfort or creates any real concern. Alexanderplatz square is really close, so very convenient location for transportation, food supplies and shopping. Not sure about the parking arrangement, we didn't have need to rent a car. During our stay there was no major heatwave, so cannot comment on situation when cooling is needed. Tram line going along that side of building was closed due to reconstruction, so also cannot comment on the noise it may produce while in operation.

The location of the property was easy walking distance to the city

The property was very basic. The sewer trap in the shower didn’t work leading to a terrible stink in the property. Front door to the property was difficult to unlock

The location was unbeatable, two blocks from Alexander Platz with access to at least five different major transport routes. It was quite spatious with plenty of storage. Lift access and very secure building.

It was difficult with a young family. No couch in the living space and the bed was directly under the TV, so no ability for kids to have down time in between sight seeing. The beds also were singles - completely separate and with gaps between them so dangerous and uncomfortable if sharing a bed with a kid. Also quite uncomfortable pillows and different height Mattresses, with bed frames starting to break down. The tram line outside the window creates a lot of noise. Thankfully it was winter so the windows were closed but the noise would be impossible in summer. Exhaust fans in both the kitchen and bathroom never turned off (though they did drown out the tram noise).
