Very authentic traditional Japanese stay . Included a dinner which was incredible. The family who own it were so helpful and friendly and provided free shuttle service to the station . The traditional bath house was awesome
It is hidden away in back of Matsumoto so there is nowhere to walk or view once you arrive at the hotel . I need to be see out of the room , which I could , just onto another street . The outside area is lovely to sit in though

Loved the staff and how authentic the rooms and experience was. Also the food was amazing and very traditional.
The only challenge is the location since it's not walkable to the train or the castle. They do have a shuttle service and uber/taxi is very easy and convenient.

Staff were very welcoming and attentive Delicious kaiseki set menu dinner and buffet style breakfast They offered complimentary shuttle into town and pick up again at end of day, which was very helpful as the accommodation is about 5mins drive out of centre of town
It is an older facility but very authentic and charming True Japanese hospitality
