The room is pretty and brilliantly located for the old town. It's quiet for sleeping. Apparently the breakfast is very nice but we were out by 5.30am to catch a taxi which Sylvia booked for us.
I was suprised at the entrance to the apartments. It is a pretty rough old concrete yard and I realised the name Il Giardino Segreto was romantic rather than factual. We arrived a bit earlier than planned and got quite confused with texts and calls with Sylvia as there is an apartment 1 outside (the area in the photos with plants) as well as one inside the door you get buzzed through. Fortunately our neighbours arrived home and spoke fluent Italian. I do speak some and could not work out where the room was as it was locked when it should have been open. Little things.
The rooms you can see with the chairs and table does not look nicely set out like that. Myabe that happens in the morning.
It was only 11 euro cheaper for the night than staying the previous week in a beautiful apartment overlooking Piazza Carmine, so I was expecting more.

"It’s very central - in the inner city and near the marina. It’s also next to the botanical gardens, which was beautiful! The hosts are sweet and gave us some good tips where to go swimming :)"
