Everything was done to make one feel relaxed and comfortable.
The lock on bathroom door did not engage properly. Room Gloria.

A really large room in an historic building. Characterful with a stunning dining room and guest lounges. Food is fantastic. Rooms are very clean. Comfortable bed and quiet at night.
Unfortunately a member of staff let herself into our room whilst we were there without knocking the door first. This is completely unacceptable and spoilt our stay as we felt on edge in the room after this. We did not report this to the management but wish we had now.

Rooms are enormous - more like a suite - and beautifully appointed. Staff were great and it really is an experience to visit the Hall and excellent value for money.
Nothing!

Really good location for where we needed to be.
The staff were super helpful and friendly and we felt very welcome.
Bed was very comfortable.
Tasty breakfast with good variety of hot food options.
Its decor is dated and it looks a little tired in some places, like corridors and the bathrooms.
The “buffet” at breakfast isn’t large and not very well identified.

The property is exceptional, the grounds are lovely and so were all the staff we saw on reception, at dinner and at breakfast the following morning. Would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely return.

Great location, public areas and rooms. Wonderful food.
Housekeeping are quite strict on room cleaning timings so just hoped they would give us more time to get ready and vacate the room so it could be cleaned.

Where we got married 6 years ago, lovely place and location
Rooms where a little cold and water didn’t get very warm, the bath and shower where brilliant which was let down by the water only getting warm

It was all so lovely.

It was a beautiful shared space.
The (purple) room was not as at pictures, it looked a little like a downgrade - did not have the wooden beams and looked not as nice as in the picture.

Great Breakfast and service, staff very attentive.
I’m sorry to say the standards have declined they appear to be under staffed , the evening staff were not dressed appropriately for serving dinner , we had to pour our own champagne and wine , the food was not up to standard. And very slow service. Very sad for such a potentially nice setting.

We have stayed in Hintlesham Hall over many years, more times now than I can recollect. This place is a dream for us. A unique blend of opulence along side cosy family vibes. Everything about this place is wonderful. The team in all parts of the hotel, the gardens, the spa, where I had two wonderful treatments, the restaurant are all outstanding in their service. Super big bedroom, toasty warm. I will of course be back there again in due course. Well done the team and owners of Hintlesham Hall.
Nothing to not like here.

Distinctive building, beautiful grounds, very helpful and courteous staff, very good breakfast. Lia at Reception was particularly warm and helpful.
Had to change my room as the one allocated was on the second floor, which is quite high up two flights of narrow stairs and there is no lift. Also, we had to take a cold shower on one of the two days as water heater was not working. The restaurant is good, but the food seems a bit overpriced.

a nice welcome, lovely room and nice details, evening meal was delicious and breakfast superb too. Staff were very polite and postive.
only a relatively small point, but the walk from the car park to the reception door was darka nd the path as a little informal.

The breakfast was lovely, the building is very historic and there was a wonderful pianist playing at the hotel on Saturday night.
The room was a bit tired, especially the bathroom and there was a very strong unpleasant musty smell in the room.

Bedroom was comfortable, spacious with good linen. Receptionist was very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was good with an excellent lady staff member.
Service in the bar - ask for a few peanuts with our £12 cocktails, none available, he said he had crisps then brought us 2 packets of Walkers. Felt like the Queen Vic. A la carte meal was expensive and very poor. Fish was dry and I felt had been frozen, topped with a tempured langouistine head, which of course you couldn’t eat. We didn’t bother with dessert. I’m sure the hotel is trying but the staff in bar restaurant are very young and need some training - it’s not Pizza Hut.

The room we booked was extremely comfortable as were all the rooms open to guests.
Restaurant and meals were fantastic. Our only observation being that the menu, good though it was, did not change during our three night stay. We would not have wished to eat in the evening for more than three nights unless there was a variation in the menu.
Staff all competent and know their duties. They are polite, helpful and knowledgeable.

We were treated like second class citizens as we were staying for business purposes. Turned away from the dining room as didn't adhere to the dress code and was told that high class people stay here and don't expect to see people dressed as casual as we were. Could only dine in the pub which only had a limited menu.
Room was full of ladybirds and flies. Reported this to reception and was told it would be dealt with. On returning to my room after getting some food, the person was vacuuming at gone 10pm. On trying to lock my door found the staff member had left her key in the lock so took it back down to reception and found them gossiping about our complaints.

Loved the period features and grounds were stunning. Room was spotless a little aged in places but this did not bother me. Was upgraded for free which was a bonus! Staff were very friendly
Breakfast service was on the slow side and my breakfast was not very hot although I ate it.

Room was fine, good menu choices for breakfast (see comment below) Did not experience dinner.
I was with a wedding party and I think we were disadvantaged by being seated together on one large table for breakfast. Used Dishes were not cleared between courses, resulting in a lot of clutter on the table with little room left for tea/coffee to be placed. We didn’t make it easy for staff by arriving at different times, but we continually had to request to be served. It seemed at times we had been forgotten, with latter arrival’s on other tables being given priority.
The grouting around the bath in my room was a little tired.

room was good although we couldn’t adjust the heat in the shower.
Dinner was disappointing.

Beautiful hotel and location, extremely clean, and friendly staff.
The only meal we had was breakfast which unfortunately wasn’t the best on either day, and service slightly unorganised. Didn’t spoil the trip though, just more of an observation.

The room was excellent, the comfort of the bed would be improved by a mattress topper, the pillows were too firm but changed for feather ones on request. There was a good choice at breakfast but staff could have been more attentive.
See above.

Property is a lovely building, rooms are decent, food decent & beds are very comfortable.
Bar area very small, service could have been a lot quicker, service at breakfast was slow.
