Good hotel in the City of Lorient

My room has been in first floor towards the road. Service is great, cleaning every day, WiFi available, late arrival can be arranged. Breakfast has been a pleasure. Parking slots are available behind the hotel without additional payment required. Free parking along the road until 9AM. A lot of restaurants in walking distance.

Has been a bit noisy due to the traffic but nothing to worry.

Really helpful, friendly, staff member on reception, couldn't be nicer. Good, secure parking, with a gate controlled from reception. Quiet and comfortable. good shower. Impressed that , although we didn't take breakfast, the receptionist, the same friendly one from the night before, offered us a cup of coffee. Full hospitality marks for that. Good location, near the restaurants, bars and harbour.

Slightly cramped toilet. No shelf above sink, for putting toiletries on. No shower grab rail. Very few electric sockets.

FOREIGNERS AVOID I left some files and an envelope with money by mistake at the room, called 3 hours later and there where no files or money and got hung up before beeing hable to express myself. Anyway the files where obtaind again and i hope the money was a nice tip for the cleaning staff. Besides that what really pisses me off: -No english or any foreing language? -Not an effort to try? -They wont call you a cab?! -no 24/7 reception? I took a 3 stars hotel having cheaper (and now i know, much better options) because where I come from 3 stars have by law 24/7 reception, plus receptionist USUALLY MAKE AN EFFORT to communicate and travelling by business that's usually very heplfull. Even using the phone to translate, whatever, anything is better than making no effort. Will be back in Lorient as much as I can, but won't return ever to this hostel.

Very little but staff were friendly and attentive

Toilet which was separate to bathroom. Door can only close if you are tiny otherwise the only way to sit down is to leave the door open. Shower room No door at all.

Sorry, but we can't recommend it.

The car could be parked in a secure, gated area. It would be helpful if the hotel advised guests how to gain access to the secure parking area other than parking on the street and going to the reception desk to ask. But we were grateful for the security, nonetheless. The hotel clerk has to push a button to open the gate.

The room and the bathroom were very small. The room was hot with no way to adjust the temperature. We opened the window, but then bugs flew in. Overall, Lorient seemed run down. Breakfast cost extra; we didn't pay for it because - based on the condition of the hotel - I doubt that it would have been very good. We would not go back. It was not a comfortable stay.

Centrally located

Centrally situated in heart of town Tastefully decorated throughout Comfortable setting areas to relax indoors and a nice small outdoor patio area . Comfortable bed . Shower room clean and good shower pressure . Lovely friendly staff. A good selection for breakfast . All in all great boutique type hotel at a reasonable price

Disappointing

Staff on reception and at breakfast were very friendly .

The bathroom was not clean ,with hair on the floor .The bed was uncomfortable as the bed was two single beds joined together to make a double .

Basic and overpriced for what it is

Located close to the train station.

The duvet cover was not really covering the duvet- more like a sheet on the top and bottom of the duvet which meant the duvet easily slipped out and didn’t feel hygienic. The room wasn’t very cute and I personally don’t care for decorative pillows or decorative runners on the bed as they don’t get washed and so are unhygienic. Staff was friendly and there was a small, nice garden but they close it early as well as the sitting area in the lobby. This was unfortunate as one of us needed to work while the other wanted to sleep and it would have been nice to have access to the common area to do so.

The shower was small but had good pressure.

The bed was supposed to be 150 (booking.com info) but was 135 (I found later on their own website). Bed was uncomfortable. Room was tiny. No a/c.
