Fantastic base for exploring southern Brittany

The hotel is on the lake with access straight onto the path that goes around the whole lake. A perfect distance for a walk or run around as you can do the whole lake (approx 5 miles) or just half (approx 2.5 miles) if you head across the bridge. We had a room with a lake view, which is a must, it was wonderful to sit on the balcony and look over the lake. The shower was great and the bed was super comfortable, we slept very well all week. The spa is great and open from 6.30am - 10.30pm, we used it each night at 8pm and had it to ourselves. There is a small sauna and steam room, both only take a short time to start up if they haven’t been used for a while with clear instructions on how to use them. The pool is a really good size and a great temperature. There were always plenty of clean towels for use. The hotel was perfectly located for us, being very central to the places we wanted to explore, Vannes, Auray, Quimper, Quiberon (Plage de Lizeau is a gorgeous dog friendly beach), Pont Aven and Concarneau. The hotel is incredibly dog friendly, our cocker spaniel was really comfortable there and there was a little treat and dog bowl for our arrival. There was a little fridge in the room which was handy for cold drinks / milk for coffee. Staff were all incredible helpful and kind. Fyi - the Intermarché over the bridge is nicer than the Leclerc! We didn’t use the restaurant or have breakfast so can’t comment on that.

Internet Wifi is crazy slow and the connecttion is not strong at all. I do not reccomend the hotel if you want to travel for work. The breakfast is not bad not good. everything was normal. It does not at all worth the money.

Good vibes!

Cool hotel in a quiet location near the city of Lorient. At the back side you have nice view on a lake. Very friendly staff and dynamic crew. This hotel has good vibes! Restaurant serves very good food and we had one of the best mojito's ever in the bar. Also nice wellness area and we got a room upgrade. A perfect 2 days stay - be it for leisure or for business needs - this hotel can easily serve both purposes!

High quality hôtel in Larmor-Plage

High quality hotel. We had a family room (two connected rooms) and that is exactly what we needed (we are a family of 5, not so easy to find hotels which can accommodate 5). Rooms are simple but large and very convenient. The restaurant is also very nice with fresh fish caught from the day. Breakfast buffet had a lot of choice. A big thumb up for having organized each customer has a serving tong for not everyone using the same.

We found forgotten nightgowns from previous customers...this, unfortunately, means that hangers are not cleaned from one customer to the next + that floors are cleaned without closing the door...which leaves quite some unwashed surfaces.

Sub-standard breakfast, no fresh vegetables, no seasoning, no gluten free products, delivered only after 20 minutes on request. No bathrobes and slippers for the spa, No reaction to noisy neighbours from the staff, No protection from the staff from aggressive neighbours, intrusion into the room. No notebook and pens in the room, 1 bottle of water for the entire stay. There are no vegetarian dishes in the restaurant. Poor hygiene in COVID situation, same cleaning tools (mop) moved from room to room without disinfection. Towels unwashed, stains. After shortening the stay and cancelling breakfast, despite the staff's confirmation that the cost of breakfast would be deducted, I was charged the full cost of the room with breakfast. Despite paying for the dinner in cash, the price was visible on the company invoice and then credited. Terrace unclean, tables and railing overgrown with cobwebs. In the room on the ground floor there is a terrace at the lawn level, which lawn was used by children as a playground and a football field, making it impossible to use the terrace. The shower temperature knob did not work. Half of the staff does not speak any languages other than French. Outside grill smoke blowing into the room preventing the balcony door from opening. Completely below the 4 star standard.
