Hotel Charleroi Airport - Van Der Valk

A beautiful hotel with spacious bedrooms and very friendly helpful staff. The restaurant was lovely and offered great food and good service. The hotel is in a good location near Charleroi airport and a lovely place to end our stay in Belgium.

The staff were very courteous and friendly. The hotel was located in a great place and the ambiance was very good. Overall, a great place to stay.

Location is convenient & plenty of car parking spaces.

The room we were allocated was a very, very long walk from reception, with no lift, which was far from ideal for me with luggage and a tired five-year-old in tow. Unfortunately, no assistance was offered. The room wasn't clean, hairs everywhere in the shower and bathroom floor plus sink. No soap or toilet roll so had to ask for some. The room had massive windows at ground level with cars parks right in front and no way of properly closing the curtains so I had to find a makeshift workaround. Both check-in and check-out were painfully slow, with only one person on reception despite queues forming. Room service was particularly disappointing - just two options available at frankly extortionate prices, even by hotel room-service standards. Overall, a disappointing stay. I was actually a returning guest after a perfectly good experience five years ago, but sadly the hotel seems to have gone backwards rather than improved in that time. I wouldn’t rush to return.
