A wonderful stay for two cyclists on their tour around Europe

A beautifully restored house right on the river Sambre. A spacious guest room and very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Dominique and her charming dog Puschka took very good care of us. Our bicycles were safely stored in the garage.

De bouwstijl van het huis. De kamer was prima en schoon. Waterkoker aanwezig

De eigenaresse Dominique was het weekend niet aanwezig hoorde we na boeking. We werden verwelkomt door Aly een Frans sprekende Noord-Afrikaanse jonge man. Hij sliep samen met ons in het huis. Zorgde voor het ontbijt. Communiceren was lastig want hij sprak geen Engels of Nederlands. We waren de enige gasten dat weekend.

Hemelse plek aan de oevers van de Samber

Het prachtige huis is zeer rustig gelegen en heeft mooie ruime kamers, met alle modern comfort. Beide kamers kijken uit over de Samber. Vlakbij starten tal van wandelroutes om de streek te verkennen. Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid, en Dominique verschafte ons nuttige tips over de regio. Echt een aanrader voor wie rust en kalmte zoekt in Henegouwen.

Een warme ontvangst in een pr acht van een huis.

De warmte waarmee Dominique ons ontving op een ijskoude dag viel als een warm deken over ons. De haard verwarmde de woonplaats waar we ons mochten neervlijen in het comfortabele salon. Na een fietstocht van 110km door de koude waren we niet meer in staat om buiten te gaan om te dineren en stelde Dominique voor om (onvoorbereid) een menu in elkaar te flansen. Het leek wel opnieuw kerst!

De hond is super lief, maar dus niet geschikt voor mensen die niet houden van huisdieren.
