Semi convenient location. Not the best part of Copacabana

The staff were rude from the get go. Over priced even though during carnival. Room was full of damp and Mold. No extractor in shower so constantly smelt damp. Didn’t clean the room 1 day. Only a sheet in the bed no blanket. Extremely noisy on lower levels windows not glazed so impossible to get sleep( even with earplugs in).

The location is great. Very close to Copacabana beach

Like most South American hotels, it has no kettle and beverages and no iron in the room. As a Muslim tourist, breakfast had very limited options and the food labels did not have English equivalent.

Really good choice of meal for Breakfast and location

On our arrival we get room on the 10th floor Our first night in the room was really cold AC wasn’t working. On the second day we contact front desk and they change our room. After we get back from the city we find out there were no room service so we try to call front desk but the phone doesn’t work so we have to go down on the reception where we ask for clean towels. They said they will bring them we were waiting another 30 min and they were never delivered so we went again on the reception to ask again. For this try they take put some towels from under the desk and give them to us.

Location was good and the rooms were spacious

Staff tried to scam us into an upgrade we didn't need so we can keep our kids room near ours (we had booked exact same room types). Noise levels were terrible and every time anyone on our floor turned on a faucet, or flushed, it sounded like a loud ship horn. The rooms were not clean and not well maintained. I would NOT stay there again.

Would not stay at this hotel again!!

There was a good spread for breakfast and the hotel location is good but those were the only 2 good things about it.

We have travelled extensively around the world and it is the first time a hotel said they would charge us for the equivalent of a room to check in early. As we refused to take their offer, the charged us to leave our suitcases at the hotel till checking in time, we have never paid for leaving suitcases in a hotel before. Our room was in need of repair and the corridors in the hotel had patches of different colour paint on them. It was not possible to have a shower in the room without either burning ourselves or freezing, as the water temperature kept changing as we were in the shower. The towels had seen better days and the toiletries provided were such poor quality, we had to buy our own ones at the nearest chemist.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far from satisfactory. The property is clearly not well-maintained, with visible mould in several areas and numerous signs of neglect throughout. Safety seemed to be an afterthought, with exposed wires and a hotel hairdryer that had damaged wiring simply patched up with tape. Cleanliness was also a major issue. The headboard was noticeably dirty, and the room was not properly cleaned during my stay. Housekeeping merely swept the floor, made the bed, and replaced the towels—basic upkeep that falls short of acceptable standards. The bathroom was especially unsettling. The walls were covered in large boards, which looked like a temporary fix to hide something more serious. It left me wondering about the actual condition of the walls behind them. To top it off, when we checked in, the receptionist referred to our room as “our luxury suite.” That description couldn’t have been more misleading—it was anything but luxurious. I would not recommend staying here unless substantial improvements are made to both the facilities and the honesty of their presentation.

Location was convenient, breakfast was decent with a variety of options.

The corridors smelt of mould on the lower levels and the hallways were very dark and not well lit. The photos of the room/s on booking.com did not match the room we were given and is not an accurate depiction of the room/s. We specifically weren’t satisfied with our room as it was not what we thought we paid for, and went to reception to ask about it and the receptionist Daniel said he couldn’t do anything at all, that we should complain with booking.com, and that the room DID match the photos (which it did not). Daniel’s colleague (the other receptionist) Leandro Cruz, was very helpful and changed our room for one similar to the photos without hesitation. It’s very unprofessional for one person to say they absolutely cannot help us or do anything, and then the second receptionist turns around and says no problem... This feedback needs to be passed onto to hotel staff and management for better and smoother communication with their guests and for general hospitality staff training.

Amazing hotel. The breakfast was amazing, the rooms were comfortable, and the people that work in the hotel were really nice and attentive.

The area where my room was located was evidently going under some kind of renovation, for which the aesthetic of the place was compromised.

We are deeply disappointed by the quality and we do not consider this is 4 star hotel. Please see our comments below with details. As a couple, we traveled almost 30 countries in different continents. We stayed in 1 star to 5 star places along with villas. This hotel is terrible, let me tell you why; Level of hygiene doesn't exist. Not at all Cleaning ladies do not clean, they just change towels. Hotel is old and there are a lot of things must be replaced immediately Things in bathroom are rusty, toilets makes strange noises 7/24 Walls are dirty Curtains are dirty. You will like you dont wanna touch around Wifi is almost impossible Elevator smells and older than any history book. Las time they did clean up probably was a few years ago.

Nice stay

- Perfect location : 2 minutes walking from the first Copacabana Metro Station (Cardeal Arcoverde), 400 meters away from Copacabana beach. Close to restaurants, bars, a couple of nightclubs, shops, etc... - Professional staff - Clean: Rooms are cleaned daily, towels changed daily - Pool area: Very nice and with a very nice view as well

- Breakfast: Not bad at all, but not Royal nor Palace - Room: You have everyhting you need in the rooms, but they are a bit old... - Noisy: Soundproofing could be improved. You may what's going on in the corridor and the neighboring rooms if they're being noisy.
