Idyllic haven a short walking-distance from all the delights that Amboise has to offer - fantastic cafes and restaurants

Its location within 10 mins’ walk of 3 châteaux, & plenty of cafes & restaurants, in a really pretty old street. Comfortable, clean, heating available if required. A proper sofa-bed, with curtains for privacy if needed. The addition of a small tabletop oven as well as a microwave was a thoughtful touch.

Stairs up to the bedroom are rather rickety.

Oasis in the old town.

Everything was as expected, located within walking distance from the Chateau we wanted to visit. Adequate number of outlets to keep the electronics charged.

Unfortunately, the road in front of the property is closed except for local traffic to a point near the property, you could drive there to load or unload, but not stay. Parking was near by. Everything else was good.

The bathroom door it is a slide one. Flimsy. Therefore you can hear everything from the bathroom into the room and the other way around. It’s not ideal. And the stairs to the bed are looking good but you need to be very careful climbing them up and down.

The location

The bathroom is shabby and needs updating. The shower leaked and we needed to put towels on the floor to absorb the water. There was an open box of spaghetti in the kitchen cupboard. There were two pods of coffee, one for each of us. The instruction manual if you want tea you can go buy it. The entrance up the stairs to the apartment was dingy and unfinished. We put the garbage and recycling out as requested in the manual. It was located in an unlit cave with old construction materials. This was the only stay that required trash removal. At least have it in a clean, well lit area.

Great location and value for money

Excellent location: very close to Amboise Castle and the house where Leonardo da Vinci has lived his last years. There is a free parking that is also very close. The host is very attentive and explained exactly where to park. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bed is confortable. And the apartment is very quiet when you close the windows, which are sound proof.

We have only one suggestion: change the bathroom door, as it is smaller than the portal and doesn't fit there; so, this issue slightly impairs the privacy of those using the bathroom.

Exceptional

The apartment was very comfortable, spacious, and with good light in a tastefully renovated historic building. The kitchen was well stocked with cups, glasses, plates, et cetera. The stair/ladder to the bedroom loft was easy and secure. We left our bags downstairs in the living area, which made it easy. I enjoyed the pigeons on the neighbouring roof cooing softly in the morning and evening. The location was a short walk to everything - the chateau, da Vinci's house at Clos Luce, restaurants, and the walk along the Loire. Don't miss seeing Chateau de Chenonceau, a real treat only a 20-minute drive away.

A very peaceful and wonderful place to stay

The place was amazing and the view during sunrise was magnificent. We went on Dec and the weather was quite cold. The heater can cover only near the TV so it was a bit cold upstairs. There’s no water heater as well and there’s a limited time to get that hot water sources from the shower. maybe we’re from tropical country , we couldn’t stand the cold weather.

A marvellous cozy apartment in a wonderful location

The location was perfect, a 4 minute walk to the Royal Chateau and Clos Luce, a few minutes more to Chateau Gaillard. Many excellent restaurants nearby.

fabulous location. lovely space.

the location was perfect but be aware only time outside to unload the bags. Freecar parking very easy 100m away. The stairs to the apartment were quite dark and dusty but lovely and clean inside. a lovely space with everything you need. Be aware that the bedroom is up very steep steps. We happened to be there in a heatwave so a bit stuffy but the fan helped. there are lots of lovely touches. we really enjoyed it. thank you.

Superb

This apartment has the perfect location within Amboise. It is located in one of the main streets and it is a 5min walk to Amboise castle, restaurants area and the riverwalk. The apartment has everything you need and it is comfortable. Indications from the owner prior to our arrival were very useful to find the keys and to be able to park our car nearby.

There is really nothing negative, maybe just to mention that the bedroom area is only accessible through very steep stairs. The first time you access the property, the entrance might seem a bit creepy and dark but don't worry, the apartment for sure makes up for it.

Un très bel appartement surprenant après la montée au deuxième étage par un vieux escalier en bois

La montée à la chambre-mezzanine n'est pas conseillé aux personnes à mobilité réduite et aux personnes devant aller aux toilettes plusieurs fois par nuit. Ce qui est mon cas. Par ailleurs, des travaux dans la rue Victor Hugo rendent l'accès dificile surtout avec des valises.

Ca nous a pas causé de souci mais le système d'escalier n'est pas trop sècurisé donc ètage n'est pas accèssible pour des petits enfants et les personnes avec des problèmes de mobilité: Aussi la système de porte de la sdb serait à revoir ; Mais dans l' ensemble très bon logement .

Amboise est une ville très agréable et l'appartement est top. De plus parking gratuit à proximité.

Le logement est très bien situé, dans une rue calme, confortable, fonctionnel. Les lits sont top même celui du canapé lit. Jolie décoration. On s'y sent bien. Belle énergie. Emplacement idéal pour visiter la région et ses nombreux châteaux, notamment le Clot Lucet et le château Gaillard à Amboise.

Les ustensiles de cuisine à remplacer (poêles, casseroles), manque une bouilloire, une essoreuse à salade, un économe. Dans la salle de bain une second porte serviette serait le bienvenu. Rendre aussi les escaliers extérieurs plus accueillants.
