About this house rental
***NOTE: 4WD/AWD required in winter (Thanksgiving through late March)
Due to severe winter last year-there will be a towing fee of $300 if a car is stuck in the driveway. Any vehicles blocking traffic on Columbine drive will be subject to a $500 fee to remove vehicle.
Our 3,500 square foot home sits on an acre and features 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is located less then 2 miles from Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory) and 24 miles (less then 30 minutes) from downtown Durango.
There are 2 livings spaces which make the home perfect for multiple families and is fully furnished and stocked with linens, towels, cookware and kitchen utensils.
The main living space contains a wood fireplace (wood provided), pool table, cathedral ceilings and an open floor plan while the downstairs living space contains a foosball table along with the hot tub located on the patio.
Bed Configuration:
Master - King (3rd Floor)
2nd Bedroom - King (Bottom Floor)
3rd Bedroom - 2 Twin beds (3rd Floor)
4th bedroom - 2 Sets of Bunk Beds (Single over Single) (3rd Floor)
5th Bedroom - Queen Bed - (Bottom Floor)
Bonus "bedroom" - 1 Twin bed (Bottom floor)***only can access through downstairs bathroom
***Sleeps a total of 12***
There is a full bathroom on each floor of the home.
This property is pet friendly with a flat fee of $100.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied.
Use of the lake in the subdivision is not permitted for renters-my apologies.

Three families came together for spring break in this very spacious home located in a prime location. It's located just up the road from purgatory ski resort and a short drive to downtown Durango. We all enjoyed our time around the large dining table, playing pool together, and relaxing in the living room around the fire place in super comfy reclining and massaging couches. Having a hot tub on premises was exactly what we needed after a day of skiing. The beds were all comfy, and having two washers and driers in the home was very nice with our large group. The owner was very attentive to us during our stay.

We had to spend 2 hours or more shoveling the driveway in order for us to park and shoveling the walkway into the house. Nowhere on the description did it say we needed to do this. Just beware if there is a lot of snow, you will need to spend a few hours shoveling before you can actually get into the house. Bring a snow shovel. My son slipped while shoveling and cut his finger on the shovel. It was not a good time. The walkway was a solid block of ice the whole time we were there, so we were constantly slipping going in and out of the house. There was also no spatula. We had to turn our pancakes with a knife. The house was big enough to accommodate us and we enjoyed the fireplace and couch. We also enjoyed the pool table. The view was beautiful.
