About this house rental

Bring the whole crew to Prospector’s Point at Tamarron Resort (Gambel Oak #796), a spacious and newly remodeled mountain condo that’s perfect for family getaways, group retreats, or golf weekends in the San Juans. This 2-bedroom, 3-bath retreat that sleeps 12 offers stunning views of the Glacier Club’s Valley Golf Course and the surrounding peaks.

Inside, the fully updated kitchen features beautiful granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and everything you need to cook and gather around. The main level also includes a cozy living room with a sleeper sofa and queen Murphy bed, a full bathroom, and a welcoming dining area. All flowing seamlessly to the deck where you can fire up the electric grill and enjoy the mountain air.

Upstairs, the large open loft offers two queen beds and a full bath, while an adjacent private studio-style bedroom adds two more queen beds and a third full bathroom. A total of 5 queen beds + 1 sleeper sofa for flexible, comfortable sleeping arrangements.

Extras like fast WiFi (100+ Mbps), a DVD player, and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating make this the ideal home base for relaxing after a day of hiking, skiing, exploring Durango, or playing a round at Glacier’s 18-hole Valley Course (which offers an exclusive discounted guest rate. ON-SITE AMENITIES AT THE LODGE INCLUDE: indoor pool, outdoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam shower, fitness center, golf at a special discounted rate, tennis, pickleball, playground, 3 on-site restaurants, and event center. There is an EV Charging Station available for guest use in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot, adjacent to the Tamarron Lodge. Our Tamarron rental guests can play Glacier's 18-hole Valley Course at an exclusive discounted rate. Details will be provided in your rental instructions. There is a $20 per person ski shuttle to purgatory on weekends - tickets must be purchased in advance and the pick-up location is in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot.

LOCATION: Tamarron sits at around 7800 feet in elevation and is just 10 minutes south of Purgatory Ski Resort and 20 minutes north of downtown Durango. Many guests stay here to visit Purgatory Ski Resort, which offers a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events.

There are several stairs leading to the front door of this condo.

Trailers are discouraged as there is very limited, designated space to park trailers - if you plan to bring one, please inquire first.
AWD or 4WD is recommended in Winter (Dec-Mar).

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love this place, everything was pretty nice and as shown in the pictures. The only thing that was a problema was that 2 people cannot get in the shower at the same time, cause the hot water is not enough. Despite that, we have a great time.

Our family enjoyed this spot due to its location! Every activity we planned was within close proximity to our rental. Nice and quiet place to enjoy the wide life and to watch the golfers! The kids enjoyed the indoor and the outdoor pools as well at the hot tub! The grill food was excellent! Staff were very friendly! Grounds very well maintained! Overall our family had an awesome vacation!

Our only complaint was the very poor television service through the old TV using Dish Network.

The check in process was simple and straightforward. However, when we arrived at the property the Murphy and the sofa bed had dirty sheets and no pillows. We were able to find clean bed linens and changed our self. Several of the upstairs bathrooms had outlets that didn’t work. Maintenance was prompt to make repairs. My biggest complaint is that the property it self did not have a washer and dryer. It needs to be stated that you have to pay extra to do your laundry.
