The rooms were lovely - very spacious with comfortable beds and were really nicely decorated and in keeping with the age of the building. My room looked out over beautiful gardens.

Location was excellent and very peaceful. Bed was super comfy. The recommendation to eat at the Boats he'd pub was great - superb meal there
No coffee in room but plenty of tea. Room was quite small

Our room was beautiful and large with plenty of space and gorgeous views across the garden. We had dinner at The Boathouse Inn which was excellent.
The Coach House is a short drive out of Hexham so very peaceful.
Unfortunately the Boathouse Inn wasn't serving breakfast when we stayed there so it would've been great to have some cutlery/crockery available so that we could make our own breakfast. A fridge was provided which was good.

Comfy room although a bit drafty with the single pain windows.
Was a nice cosy room and spot on for what I needed for an overnight stay with the basics all covered.
Stain on carpet just as you entered the room gave the wrong impression I think of the accommodation.
Squeaky stairs down to front door which the room was directly by.

Beautiful garden, like staying in someone's house, nice not to feel it was a hotel
There was no coffee in the room, just one herbal tea bag. No staff to ask.
The Sunday morning there was loud banging from the ceiling above that prevented us from sleeping.
It would be good to have better lighting in the bathroom, and also a magnifying mirror.

Beautiful, quiet, exclusive location in the hills of gorgeous Northumberland countryside. Our room, Tyne, overlooked a lovely manicured garden where I spotted a few wild hares ambling about. The bed was heavenly with real down pillows. The room decor felt like I had been invited to stay at a National Trust home. My photos couldn't capture the feeling. This is exactly the type of B&B I have always been looking for as a weekend getaway that made our Anniversary weekend feel special. So quiet and tranquil - I didn't hear any of the other guests the entire weekend. I absolutely fell in love with this place. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Just note there are stairs to reach the rooms in the Coach House so people with mobility issues will struggle (I don't have issues, just a thought for others). It would be nice to have breakfast on site, but honestly, the Boatside Inn is just minutes away with fantastic food - so again, really not an issue with us just thought I'd point it out for others.

Everything about the accommodation was fabulous
If I was being really picky I would say more than one packet of biscuits would be good!!

Would have preferred a hand rail for the shower.

Lovely room and building
Our fault, didn't realise how far from Hexham we were. Fantastic location for walkers or a quiet night.

Very convenient, just off the A69 and pretty easy to find despite being very secluded. Comfortable room and accommodation, excellent value for money, great view over the gardens and an excellent pub/restaurant close by.

The location was perfect for a wedding at Langley Castle, just a 10 minute taxi ride from the accommodation. The Warden room was perfect for us, it was clean, comfy and decorated beautifully. Lots of tea and coffee provided as well which was very much needed after an 8 hour car journey!
The front door of the coach house has expanded, I think, making it very difficult to close quietly. Our room was directly above said door and there were some quite loud bangs throughout the night as other guests returned

Nice accommodation, large room, comfortable beds with quality linen and towels.
The pub ‘Boatside Inn’ is very comfortable for food and the weather provided the opportunity for alfresco dining. We stayed in the ‘Abbey’ room which had stunning views of the beautiful gardens.
As a guest you can’t access the gardens which is such a pity - the outside space with a glass of wine/coffee would have enhanced our stay.
You have to pay to hire a fridge, nominal amount of £5 per night but as there’s no option for food we do think this should be provided in the room cost or at least offered free of charge (appreciate not everyone will use one) as if you’re staying more than 1 night you’ll want it for milk.
The rooms are a lovely size which meant the size of the TV wasn’t big enough to view from the bed - a small sofa at the end of the beds would have created opportunity for seating to read / watch TV. Yes, the latter wasn’t a priority for our stay but due to location you will find yourselves back in the room early so therefore may want some leisure time in the room.

I would have preferred to have a fridge included in the price. It was a little out of the way. & we needed a quick meal but to be honest we should’ve checked better.

James couldn’t have been more helpful - even offering to bring me soup because i hadn’t had dinner and delivering wine and snacks.
Very lovely characterful property. If i had more time i would have taken advantage of the beautiful walks that can be done straight from the front door.

It was our second time staying here and we loved every second. Very comfortable and clean. Although the property is in a beautiful rural location, it's only 10 minutes from Hexham. We visited the Abbey and had some great food. All in all a fantastic weekend and we'll definitely be back.
Nothing.

We booked 3 bedrooms and they were all immaculately clean, beautifully styled and very comfortable.
Also the rooms were well heated, a treat on a particularly cold weekend.
Although we knew this i guess the lack of breakfast facilities is a shame ( as you have to drive to the pub to have some) or pay extra for a mini fridge

We've stayed with Stay on the Hill before at their other locations. The Coach House was up to their usual high standards.
Only niggle. Room was freezing when we arrived. We found the heating easy to adjust and soon warmed up but it was a bit of a shame to open the room door and walk from a walk welcoming landing into a very cold room.

Beautiful interior, incredibly comfortable bed, quiet
The instructions were very thorough but it was a little hard to find the place in the very last part of the journey. Am glad we arrived in the light. - it might be hard in the dark. Perhaps a map of the farm track might be worth including ?

it was a perfect stay very clean, and a very comfy bed loved the duvet best night sleep, nice easy check in just put in the code at the door and everything was ready for me if am in the area again I will defiantly book here
The only issue was there is no sign from the road to tell you where it is, I was lucky to get there when it was daylight or I would never have found it,

We had a large room in a nice old building in a quiet country setting with private, safe and secure parking.
We struggled to find the property as there did not appear to be any signage at the entrance to the drive. Once up the drive you find that here are multiple properties on the estate and so we had to ring the number on the booking to get directions.

Nice location in the countryside, close to walking trails and Hadrian’s Wall. Comfortable rooms.
No dining options on site or nearby. The nearest options were 15-20 minutes away in Hexham but many good options there.

Lovely big twin room. Great shower and gorgeous garden views. Easy to find using what three words. Perfect for us - wished we were there longer.
All the directions and instructions were spot on.
For me it was colder than I am used to so an extra blanket or thicker quilt would have given me a better nights sleep. But for my sister who lives in a similar property with high ceilings it was absolutely fine.
