Great hotel with tricky access

Everything is superb! The rooms are clean, the bathroom spacious, and it's serene. Staffs are exeptionally helpful! Great breakfast choices as well

The location is actually pretty remote. It's in a village. To get there by a car you either took a narrow short cut. Or make a pretty long detours.

Beautiful location in a quiet part of Ubud, only half an hour from the centre if you cross the rice terraces.

Access is a little steep if you have any walking disability, but I managed 👍

Santosha Place is a true gem hidden in Tegalalang. I couldn't be happier for staying there.

Santosha Place was just perfect for our family. Accommodation in a true Balinese atmosphere, clean rooms, and an extremely kind and accommodating staff. Agus and his team put their best efforts for meeting our expectations and accommodating some last-minute requests. They organised many tours for us, including massage in the comfort of the room. The breakfast was simple and delicious, as was everything else there. My family and I had an amazing time at Santosha.

Although the hotel is not within walking distance of Ubud center, Agus and his team always managed drop-offs and pick-ups at all times. I have also suggested that it would be great if the room were equipped with a little fridge.

Perfect stay in the jungle with amazing and kind staff

Everything was amazing, the room was clean, the staff were super helpful, respectful and kind, made us feel right at home. Food was also amazing, as a foreign, we didn’t have any problems with water or food here. The Location was quiet and nice, everything was close. We also had a laundry service and our clothes came back fresh and smelling amazing. Rented scooters with them and everything went perfect!

Santosha Place is a lovely and budget-friendly option just outside the center of Ubud. I chose it because I wanted to experience something more grounded and flexible after staying in resorts, and this was exactly that. The service was exceptional , the daily care, kind communication, and attention truly touched me. It’s an ideal stay for travelers who plan to explore Ubud and the surrounding area

Wonderful staff!!! Great clean Room!!!! Comfortable bed. Our flight was delayed, and got to the hotel at 1am!!!! And the staff welcomed us with a big smile and our Room with the AC on!!! Really appreciated that welcoming!!! Breakfast is brought yo your Room where you eat in your balcony!!! Would recomend this place 100%

Very comfortable stay - friendly staff

I struggled to find reception initially in the pouring rain, but once sorted and found my way, I was lead to my lovely room up a set of stairs with a lovely outlook. A comfortable bed and room. Beautiful breakfasts each morning, sitting outside on the balcony. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Traditional Balinese design, with rooms overlooking the family temple, within a family atmosphere. The rooms were so neat and cleaned daily.

The location was a bit far from Ubud Center, so we had to order grab or gojek for most of our activities. But I think that location is what makes it quiet and cozy.

Great experience!

It was very nice to be in the nature, it was very peaceful and only thing you could hear were roosters and birds singing. Even if the property is not in the city center, for is it was not a problem, on the contrary. There is a nice walk through the rice fields that takes you to downtown, and one day we rented the scooter from the property, so that was also useful. The staff was very kind and welcoming, accommodating all our needs.

The service was amazing, the room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I loved the convenience of being able to order food directly to our room throughout the day. The portions were a bit small, but the prices were very affordable, so we would just order more dishes to share.

Great option if you want to be near Ubud

Very nice hosts. Great location if you don't want to be in the busy centre of Ubud. We had a beautiful spacious, clean room with a very nice bed.

Nothing really. If we must name one thing. Everything gets very wet after showering, so a wiper to quickly solve that, would be a great addition.

Beautiful stay 😊

Everything! It’s an incredible place to stay in Bali. We stayed in the top floor room and the view is stunning. The staff is very helpful and pleasant.

We had an incident with the scooter we rented at the hotel that overshadowed the experience a bit and that's why our score is a 9 instead of a 10. But the staff solved it immediately. If you intend to rent a scooter, I recommend looking for options in the center of Ubud because the ones offered by the hotel don’t have any maintenance.

lovely stay outside the business of Ubud

we stayed in the top floor room which was lovely. breakfast can be served in the room. lovely and kind staff. good room service menu. the pool was abit small so we went across to the new day club 2 min walk away jinengku and would recommend this

Worth to stay and enjoy this peacefulness :)

You can feel here like at home. I loved this cozy and peaceful area, the people who work here, and all facilities. An important part is that everything is like in the pic. All your meals will be served in your room, so don't need to be worried to go anywhere. You can order a massage and they will organize it in your room. I'm grateful that I found this place and could enjoy every minute, thank you to all the family and the staff who ensured that your stay would be delightful. Of course, you will need a scooter/car to get here, but a taxi or rented vehicle is a must :) I recommend you find this place and enjoy yourself. Thank you so much!

Exceptional

This accomodation was probably the best we’ve had in Bali so far! Super friendly and most helpful staff, amazing breakfast, rooms were always clean, bike rental is very well priced, fresh fruit in the room, coffee, tea. Perfect location - 10 minutes from centre of Ubud, so it’s quiet and very cultural. There’s an amazing cooking class just 3 minute walk up the road which we definetely recommend too.

-there is no actual fridge in the room but they have a shared kitchen for everyone where u can store some stuff (Could be cleaned a little bit) - it’s jungle area so be ready for some ants, lizards and birds around your accomodation

Exceptional

Santosha Place is a very nice place, far from the noise of the city. It's closer to the terraces and the location is very beautiful. The hotel is super clean and the design is very elegant. I was very busy during the day so unfortunately I didn't enjoy the swimming pool. The staff is kind and helpful. They serve you the breakfast in the room. I recommend the room with the balcony!

Nothing, everything was good. Just a tip : since the place is in the countryside, the roosters are a bit noisy in the morning so I recommend some earplugs

An authentic Balinese stay

Such a special, authentic setting surrounded by the village temples. Tranquil yet not far by moped to Ubud or gorgeous rice paddies. Pleasant and helpful staff. Stayed up for a very late 1am check in and welcomed us with tea.

Hard to think of anything.. the main grounds flood during heavy rainfall so had some Venice vibes for an hour or so to get out of the room.

very nice location up north of Ubud. the family is very kind and they take good care of their guests. Santosha became my home during my stay. the room is lovely and clean, very nice experience.
