Location can't be beat for easy access to long days hiking with dogs. The home is beautiful and coupled with the quiet,peaceful nature all around, it makes for a great escape from the ordinary.

We went to Canaan Valley to celebrate our winter birthdays. The rental was lovely, clean, and inviting. The kitchen had everything we needed to bake a birthday cake. The staff at Best of Canaan were very friendly and helpful in directing us to schedule tubing and sledding while we were there. Donna is very knowledgeable about the area and all the rental properties available for our next stay.

We were disappointed that the previous renters did not follow the rules and clean up after their dogs. There are so few pet friendly places to rent that as a pet owner every renter needs to do their part to assure there are places for us to bring our pets to. We loved the fireplace and being able to relax in the evening after skiing. The hike around the nearby lake was refreshing and beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked to be able cook and eat in by the fire.
