Primitivo Bay Hvar

Beautiful lookout as per photos. Owner was kind and helpful as he could see we were having difficulties.

What was not clear is that one had to hike down nearly half a mile on a rocky path from parking. The owner helped us carry the luggage when we checked in but completely disappeared when we checked out. That was a let down as he had promised help. Would not recommend for short one or two day stays as it is hard to access and far from town and lifting luggage and walking on mountainous terrain for half mile is not fun.

The location was the stand out - away from the town centre but also close enough to pop in and out. The bay itself is tranquil and so beautiful it was tempting to just stay all day rather than go out!

Branka and her family are super helpful with everything, place have stunning view with almost private bay/beach. Rooms were clean with all necessities like AC, full size kitchen, dishwasher etc. You have to walk a bit from your cars tho, but hosts are there to help you with baggages, they are also there when you want to buy fresh fish, find nice spots, swim in bay in motorboat or taste local wine.

Great location

Very kind and helpful owner and family, perfect communication. Apartment is very well equiped, comfortable, suitable for families with kids. Beach is a few meters from apartment. It is beautiful lagoon with a few apartments. You don´t need any special equipment for beach, after swimming you can relax on the terrace. Konobas are nearby. Very pleasant Croatian atmosphere.

Amazing place, very friendly owner and her family. They arranged for us everything, what we needed and much more. The bay is amazing private place, so we highly recommend.

Long distance between parking place and accomodation, but it is quite normal in Croatia, if you want to be close to sea :) Mind that accomodation is quite simple and some parts look like "under construction", but it doesn´t matter at all.

Let's start in order. From the parking lot to the apartment you go down about 120 m along a goat path. You see something that looks like an old, abandoned new building, dilapidated windows and blinds. You find that this is not an apartment, but two completely separate rooms, each approx. 20 m2 and each with its own bathroom. There is a small kitchen in one of the rooms. there is no dining table. Enough of the rest of the furniture, very cramped. There is not clima. It makes you cry and go home. BUT !!! After the many luxury accommodations we gave her through, this one was something unique. In the immediate vicinity of no noteworthy tourist accommodation. Right by the sea, in a small bay where a light wind always blows. Air conditioning is absolutely not necessary. It sleeps beautifully on very comfortable beds, both day and night. The rooms have doors on both sides, so they are basically connected via a terrace and a courtyard. And the terrace is really huge (approx. 25 m2 or more). There is a table, comfortable chairs, deck chairs. Beautiful view of the bay. Just a few steps to the sea. Suspended nets available. Also in the yard a small table and chair. So you can always avoid the sun. You spend whole days until late at night outside and enjoying yourself. The owners are extremely careful, there are really enough towels, bed linen, toiletries available .... Equipped with everything you need. We wouldn’t change anything, we would just fix the windows and blinds a little. We don't want our apartment to be occupied by nice guests for years to come, who would then just be nerdy. For this is accommodation for those who appreciate nature, peace. For those who respecting the extremely friendly and warm and simple owners. In short - pure 10 (7 ******).

It is a great place. Beautiful bay, very calm and quiet with only a couple of houses in it. The view from the balcony was amazing. Branka and Krsto were very nice and helpful. The town of Hvar was only a short drive away. And it only took about 30 seconds to get from the house to the water. It is the best place for relaxing.
