Waterfront property located on West Prong of Frio River just 9 miles North of Leakey, Texas . Central Air and Heat for Summer and Winter comfort. Fully stocked kitchen. BBQ Pit, Fire Pit, Wi-Fi, dedicated home phone land line, washer/dryer, coffee pot/maker, Keurig, Smart TV, and pull-out sofa sleeper. All linens provided. Plenty of parking to bring your trailered UTV/Golf Cart/Motorcycle to go exploring. Picnic Table under covered front patio. Enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, shopping, hanging out in the River, or doing nothing at all while enjoying the peaceful country setting. Garner State Park, Lost Maples State Park, Wineries, and daily River tubing trips located nearby within easy scenic driving distance. We were looking for a quiet, private getaway and this little house provided just that. While the house could use a little maintenance (some paint chipping), it is equipped with anything you might want in the kitchen and the bedrooms are very comfortable and inviting. The living room also had comfortable seating and games to play along with a nice TV. We stayed in two days and out two days. The outside was well equipped too from the grill and fire pitt to the bench swing and adirondack style seats in the front. The walk to the river was short and easy to get to. We would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a peaceful, well equipped stay close to the river. We had a lovely time.

Very nice cottage, comfortable king sized bed, nice linens and towels. Kitchen was fully equipped. All was clean and ready for our arrival. Driveway(s) were a little rough from erosion but my car did fine getting up and down from the road. Walk to the river was easy

It was a great last summer getaway for my 3 boys! The river access is very shallow near the house, but if you drive a mile down the road there is a spot up to 5’5 deep! You can jump and swim! Everything was comfortable and they had more amenities we needed!

Second time to stay in this area. We enjoyed this cabin. Lots of shade outside. Comfortable and cozy inside. We enjoy this location. Its quiet and relaxing and much more private than most other river properties. The owner is an excellent host and very responsive to communications. Highly recommend.

I don't want to let this place to become too well known because it is a wonderful, quiet, place to unwind and want access to it as often as possible, lol. Seriously, the owner was great to deal with, and the cabin is everything we expected.

My 3 teens and I had a wonderful and memorable stay. We enjoyed all the comforts of home with easy access to the river. It was extremely easy to find and the host went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information we needed to arrive safely. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

We were in town for a whole week and had a great time. Cottage was easy to get to, made it easy to travel into town and surrounding towns to hike, eat and shop. We had everything we needed to cook and stay entertained. We were slightly worried about river access based on other reviews, but it was a quick walk down the driveway and right into the water at the first crossing. It flowed all week, was nice and cool, lots of fish, and everyone we ran into was super nice. Danny was kind and easy to communicate with. We hope to be back next summer.

Our stay was really calm, perfect place to enjoy with small kids because the river is really shallow with clear water. It just need a better cleared river entrance because all the other where marked with big signs of Not Trespassing or Private property. We had to walk a short distance between river rocks and plants to access the creek. But everything else was awesome 🙌❤️

The cabin is beautifully decorated and so cozy. There were so many amenities so you don’t miss anything. Very relaxing. Daniel is a wonderful manager and was so easy to communicate with. The entire process was so easy.

This was such a cute little house. The owner called and explained everything to us then called again while there to make sure everything was okay. There is water to swim right in front of the house. Town is not far if you need anything or want to eat out but the house is fully stocked so you can definitely take food to cook there. Definitely recommend 😁

This is a beautiful, remote location and is great for anyone who wants to get away from it all for a few days in the country. The Frio River is across the road, and while it was low due to recent dry conditions (we could neither see nor hear the river itself from the cabin), we still enjoyed hiking along the riverbank and wading in the river where it was deep enough to do so. Lost Maples State Natiral Area and Garner State Park are both less than an hour's drive from the cabin as well. Please note: if you plan to visit either area -- even just for the day -- call ahead for reservations. We were unable to visit Garner because they were at capacity when we arrived there, and we had not made a reservation. Thanks to its remote location, the cabin can certainly live up to its name. We only got to enjoy one truly 'starry starry night' while there (clouds), but that in and of iteself was pretty incredible. The cabin itself is cozy and reasonably comfortable; it worked well for the four of us. At 1,000 sq ft, it can certainly accommodate small parties such as ours; parties larger than four may feel cramped though. The beds were surprisingly comfortable; that was a real plus. The owners had the cabin well-supplied; we really lacked nothing during our stay. The cabin was clean upon check-in, but aspects of it could have been cleaner. The lack of a dishwasher is probably a contributing factor here. For example, we found the coffee cups stuck to the bottom of the cabinet when we checked in, so we cleaned them ourselves before using them. Dust from the dirt road in front of the cabin is probably another factor here. The decor of the cabin is 'tired,' and the seating is adequate if not terribly comfortable. Be aware that, while there is WiFi/internet and a TV and DVD player in the cabin, there is neither cable nor satellite service. Therefore, if you want to watch TV, you need to bring some sort of streaming device with you. The owners are fabulous. Danny could not have communicated with us better before, during, or after our stay. He seemed quite proactive and anxious to ensure a positive experience for his guests. He is a genuine asset to this rental experience. We would definitely stay here again if our travels took us to this area, and we highly recommend Starry Starry Night Cottage!

We rented this cabin because of its location between Garner State Park and Lost Maples. Everything was very convenient and my 2 year old granddaughter loved walking to the Frio river that was just down the road from the cabin. We also enjoyed sitting outside at night and looking at the stars. It was so relaxing and such a great getaway from the city.

Property was as described and less than a 5 minute walk to the river. All we needed to bring was food. House was clean and free of bugs. The only issue we had was regarding the amount of “private property” in the area and the lack of signage that explains where you can and can’t go. We had an encounter with one particular resident who felt compelled to own the river as well and had some colorful words for my wife as she peacefully walked through the river with our children. This property meets the needs of anyone needing to get off the grind...just be cautious of some of the residence living a few properties down the river.

My daughter and I returned to the Frio for the first time in 10 years - this time with her serious college boyfriend. The three of us had a wonderful time cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, grilling, enjoying the outdoor seating areas, and exploring the nearby Frio. Probably the best part was taking the provided canvas chairs and parking them in the shallow stream with a cooler at our feet, enjoying the sunset. Thank you so much for a memorable weekend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at this home. It wasn’t far from a little area of the river. I wished we would have gone up farther to the deeper areas but we didn’t noticed until the last day there you actually could park past a certain place. But overall I would recommend this cabin and hope to stay there sometime again!
