About this house rental
Four Frio Sisters is a charming house nestled on a hillside in the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. You can enjoy the fantastic views and million dollar sunsets from a swing on the back porch or enjoy a game of dominoes with friends on the covered front porch. Roasting marshmallows in the fire pit, relaxing around the outdoor fireplace, playing horseshoes, laying in the hammock, grilling steaks or sitting on a bench watching the wildlife and day dreaming are only a few of the outdoor activities available. For those youngsters and young at heart adults feel free to enjoy our teeter totter. At the end of the day you can shower under the stars in our private outdoor shower (don't worry, we have inside showers also!)
Once inside the house you can enjoy all the amenities of home with a Texas country charm. There is plenty of room to entertain around our wood burning fire place and large open loft. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, dinnerware, and cookware. There are books to read and binoculars to use for viewing the wildlife and birds in the Frio Canyon. Open the windows at night to enjoy the cool fresh air and sounds of the surrounding countryside. We love disconnecting from the world when in the Texas hill country, but realize guests may need to have access, so we now have WIFI!!
Four Frio Sisters is only a few minutes drive to the Frio River, Garner State Park, and Leakey, TX. The Three Sisters Drive is also only minutes away with Lost Maples State Natural Area only 25 miles down the road.
There are year round activities in the Frio Canyon area ranging from tubing/kayaking the Frio in the summer, enjoying the fall foliage in autumn, hiking/hunting in the winter, and viewing wildflowers in the spring. The bird watching is fabulous year round. World Class Golf is available at Concan Country Club. Don't forget the summer time outdoor dances at Garner! Made in Texas!

Had a great time in spite of the river fooding the house was very comfortable. We have been vacationing in the area for many years and found it a great location. Coffee on the porch was my favorite.

This is the spot if you want peace and quiet. Quaint and cozy, loved the shady trees and the homey atmosphere. The hammock was used the entire stay it was perfect to relax while enjoying the nice cool breeze. Coming from a big city I can not tell you how much I just enjoyed the sounds of nature, bunnies hopping around and cardinals galore. The bird feeder brought in so many beautiful birds. The outdoor shower was a nice bonus to cool off in this Texas heat. The view from the back yard and porch were breathtaking.Only minutes away from Garner, I'll be venturing back soon!

This place is definitely more for a large group with children I would say. I didn’t care for the bring your own towels and linens and I felt things like salt, pepper and even a lighter should have been provided. The outdoor furniture was not in good shape at all and the cook ware was not great either. I feel like this place could use some TLC but it’s also probably best in the summer. We had no issues with the host of course.
