Trevail Penthouse

Amazing location and a beautiful, spacious property, much larger than we expected. We loved having a fully equipped kitchen, which made it easy to cook and feel at home during our stay. It was also such a lovely touch to arrive and find tea, coffee, and cookies waiting for us. Small gestures like that really make you feel welcome. The host was very responsive and made everything straightforward from start to finish. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended.

The only small areas for improvement would be the supplies provided for longer stays and the drying facilities for beach gear. We stayed for five nights with three people, and although there were two bathrooms, only one toilet roll was provided in each. We completely understand that this is a self catering property and wouldn’t expect unlimited supplies, but having a couple of extra toilet rolls available would have been a thoughtful touch. Similarly, a few more dishwasher tablets, a roll of kitchen paper, and perhaps some small bottles of shampoo would have made the stay even more comfortable. One other thing we noticed was that the hallway had quite a damp smell. There are lockers provided for storing wet beach gear, which is a great idea in principle, but because they’re indoors, damp towels and wetsuits don’t really dry and can end up smelling musty. If possible, having an outdoor drying area or clothesline for beach equipment would be a much more practical solution and would likely help reduce the dampness indoors. These are all relatively minor suggestions, though, and they certainly didn’t take away from what was otherwise a fantastic stay.

Beautifully presented and views are amazing. Very well equipped kitchen and furnishing all felt fresh and clean. Super handy having a parking space outside.

Seagulls can be noisy but that is probably true for every property in St Ives if you have the windows open!

An excellent location just 5 minutes' walk from Porthminster beach and the train station and 10 minutes' walk from the town centre, this lovely property from Cornish Escapes was a real find. It is clean and comfortable and kitted out with everything one could need for a relaxing holiday and we received clear instructions and guidance on everything well before our arrival in St Ives. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone.
