Nice stay in a nice city!

Beautiful, luxurious apartments in the old town area of Ulcinj with a great view over the bay and castle. Easy walk to the Old Town and center. Friendly local family owners who went out of their way to help us, including arranging a rental car and offering a ride to the bus station.

The property is located on a hill on the side of Ulcinj. The bus station is about 2.5 km away, which means a 30–40 minute walk (especially with luggage), and finding the location directly can be a bit challenging, when arriving for the first time. For this reason, the apartment is better suited for guests with a rental car than for those traveling by bus or mainly on foot. I recommend booking in advance and asking the owner to arrange a taxi or pickup from the bus station, which makes arrival much easier.

Overall comfortable place.

The apartment was compact but comfortable. The balcony was great for morning coffee and to look down into the cove, and the sun felt good there. The bed was comfortable and there were electric shutters making it dark at night. The water temp and pressure in the shower were good. It is close to the fort.

There is no grocery store nearby and they seemed to be closed at random times. Also, not close to restaurants. Also, the neighbor has roosters, which you could hear at all hours of day and night. The neighbor also poured gas on brush he cut and lit it on fire, with plastic, gas and tree smoke flowing over the balcony making it impossible to be outside. Not the hosts fault. Unfortunately, many of the shops and restaurants in the area are closed this time of year.

Our stay at Hillside apartments

The room was very recently renovated, with a beautiful view. The owner was very helpful with every question we had, and assisted us with anything we asked for. The room was a pleasure to stay in, the AC worked perfectly, and so did everything else in the kitchen & bathroom. We had an amazing time in this apartment, and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, especially for the price!

The wifi worked, however it was quite slow at times other than that everything was perfect.

A little difficult to find if you haven't got phone access. It's a steep climb up from either the old Town or the beachfront if you like a drink. And no local shops in easy walking distance so you need to buy provisions before you get there

Great location near old town. Private parking which is a must-have in this town. Comfortable room, especially considering the low price.

Bathroom looked not completely finished yet. There are rugs in the bathroom and hallway and after showering these were completely soaked and uncomfortable. Would highly recommend removing those. Besides that, comfortable room!

Apartment was very clean and comfortable. Private parking is available next to the house, air conditioning works fine, and view from the terrace is amazing. However keep in mind that you need to climb a bit up-hill to reach the villa (price for great view). Burim, our host was very friendly and helpful - when we seek an advice or need something all we need to do was send him a message on whats up, and the reply comes very soon. Hillside appartment is perfect choice when looking for a place to stay in Ulcinj.

There could be more furniture for keeping stuff from our bags, maybe an additional wardrobe in living room, more shelves in bathroom etc. It was okay like it is now but if I had to point out any flaw it would be just that one.

the apartment is comfortable, there is good view from the terrace, 2 hosts were very nice — the young man that met us and the woman that speaks french, they both tried to help with everything and were really pleasant to talk. apartment is clean, there is a comfortable kitchen with all stuff and air-conditioner.

for us it was very important to have good stable wi-fi as we worked there, I was clarifying that with hosts before check in, as it was almost the main thing in the apartment that we really needed. but wi-fi was awful, we had much problems with the working calls. there was another host that we didn't see, but chatted by cellphone, which didn't answer when it could be fixed. almost the last day there wasn't water, and I totally understand it's not the host's fault, but one host really tried to help, brought some water to wash hands, came to us and ask how else she can help, the same time as another with whom I chatted just by cellphone said smth like "you are not the only one who don't have water", which was kind a rude. but we are really thankful to the other 2 hosts who tried to help us with everything and were very kind and hospitable — thanks a lot!

Very nice hosts, cozy room with the basics for cooking, quiet location yet by the old town and some beaches. A very nice view on the central beach and the town too. Definitely a good place to stay in Ulcinj.
