Perfect location to visit the Botanical Gardens!

Second time staying here. Perfect location, beautiful garden, friendly/helpful staff, always responding host.

The bathroom was private, but not in de room (for us it was not a problem).

Location excellent. Breakfast reasonable. Swimmingpool

Facility is quite compact. Minor issues but suggest breakfast be given outside. Dining room is crowded and not easy to move around. Bedroom is crowded with 10 cushions on the bed. Wifi kept cutting out while in bedroom.

Kelvin and Juma are amazing. Great location and fantastic breakfast.

Bedroom had bathroom in the passage not in room. And garden suite bathroom is not acceptable at all. Something really needs to be done about that. Towels were short and coffee mugs in room were short.

A great place to stay if you want to explore the greater Cape Town area

The location was great. We had a direct side view of the Table Mountain, so every morning we could check and see whether the 'table mountain cloth' was there or not. One morning, we were in doubt, but the host checked for us and with his knowledge of local weather patterns he accurately predicted we were better off climbing it the next day. The housekeeper, Juma, was very friendly, took great care of us, and made us breakfast every morning. The accommodation was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The neighbourhood was safe and quiet, and close to major roads allowing us to explore Cape Town and the surrounding region.

Limited parking, but it was fine because we stayed there in the low season. Perhaps it's fine year-round because this particular neighbourhood is relatively safe.

The DSTV and a bed.

Everything else this place has to offer. A used toilet roll as well not even a fresh new one, shower in a bath? I mean seriously. Noises from the other side of the door, very much over priced for what you get...... Stayed in places in the same area for a lot cheaper and was 100000 times better.

The room and kitchen, bathroom areas were smaller than expected. The flatlet is less modern than the rest of the b&B, but still clean.

I liked the area is nice but nothing likeable about the place/ guesthouse . 😭

They kept rotten food/ cheese and carrots in the fridge . There was bad smell in the room . The garden is not well maintained and was a turn off for me. I only saw the host when I was checking out. The place is really not make sure🥲🙃🙁

The guest house was easy to find, and our hosts (Kelvin and Jamu) were amazing - very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable, and had a lovely view over the pool. The breakfast was delicious!

Thank you for the option to write a review. Kelvin was very accommodating as we had to leave later than the 10 am check out. We never had breakfast as we left too early in the morning. Mike McLean had breakfast, said it was good I was just a little perturbed as I had to pay an extra R300,00 - I had already paid over R1000 for the one night through discovery and when I booked Lynne Nicolas in hers was only R800 odd - This upset me more as I had always told TWO people and I paid over R1000 for one person in a room and Lynne only paid R800 odd. ???????? Wasn't happy about that.

The difference in the payment as detailed above. I couldn't understand why when I booked the room through Discovery for TWO people, I paid over one thousand rand and when I book a week later for my friend Lynne Nicolas, ONE PERSON, her room charge was R800 odd. Then when I arrived I was told I told an extra R300.00 - OVER R1,300.00 for one room for two people and only one had breakfast ?????

Wonderful guest house

Great place to stay if visiting Cape Town, for work or leisure. Property is fantastic location, with sweeping view of mountain each morning, easy access to Newlands Forest, a popular pub down the road, local cafes, and Kirstenbosch Gardens. Shoret drive to Cape Town university and city centre, and Constantia. Room was spacious, comfortable, and loads hot water. Kelvin is helpful and welcoming.

Convenient, friendly and accomodating guesthouse in a safe and quiet neighbourhood.

Very appreciative of the early check in so that we could sit and work during the day. Friendly and helpful staff, and the pool was very welcome in the heat!

The cooked breakfast was only egg and bacon, some tomatoes or mushrooms or even baked beans would have been nice. No backup power during loadshedding so we couldnt even use the fan in the bedroom to cool the room. Given that loadshedding is here to stay, and will only get worse, all hospitality venues now need to have an alternative.

Many thanks to Kelvin for making our 3 nights an exceptional stay! So accommodating and we loved the pool to cool off in after a hot drive to get there, plus following our Southern suburbs trip the following day. The rest of the facilities were great and our breakfasts were perfect. A really lovely host and place to stay!

Results weekend stay

Everything, I went there to rest and destress the host was informative and they made my stay super relaxing. Always reachable and accommodative. It felt so homey, love the bathroom...especially the bath, so spacious, I couldn't bring myself to get out. My room was amazing, the property is beautiful!
