About this apartment rental
Pictured Rocks Family Rentals welcomes you to Santa's Shack Downstairs in Christmas! One of 3 units available at same location. This 1 bedroom 1 bath apt offers 1 queen bed and one queen sofa sleeper. Great location just off of M-28 behind the White Pine Lodge/Sunoco Gas Station and less than 5 miles from downtown Munising. It's close to Pictured Rocks, ORV trails, many waterfalls and lighthouses. The casino is within walking distance, as well as Foggy's Steakhouse.
This is a ground floor unit and all recently remodeled. Home has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, but also has a queen size sleeper sofa in living room. While the home is conveniently located right off of M28, there is not much for a view or privacy when hanging outside as the apartments all have the view of the back of the White Pine Lodge and the Sunoco Gas Station. There is a fire pit and hot tub that are shared with the other apartments in the backyard. Since there is a unit directly above you, there is potential for noise from other guests.
The Downstairs unit has shared access with the Upstairs unit and the housecleaner to the laundry room on-site. Your laundry room door locks on the apartment side so none of them will have access to your unit.
We live nearby if you should need anything, and may stop over to maintain exterior hot tub. If you have any questions/concerns, please message through the app or text, or call if it is an emergency.
Walking distance to Foggy's Steakhouse, Christmas Casino, gas station/party store, and less than a mile to snowmobile/ORV trailhead. Less than 5 miles to downtown Munising and all of the Pictured Rocks boat tours, kayak rentals, etc.
Steps required to get to toilet and to shower. AC is not central air, the air conditioner is in living room. This is the lower unit, so you will hear noise from guests above.
Signed rental agreement and security deposit hold required for all reservations. Primary guest will need to send a picture of government issued ID and list names and ages of all other guests in their group.
There are 3 motion activated 24/7 audio/video recording devices on site. One camera faces the front door of the Studio unit, one camera faces the front entry doors under the arch, and one camera faces the exterior back entry door and hot tub/patio area.

Great location to waterfalls, pictured rocks and all other U.P. locations. Place was very inviting, clean and fun. It had all the needed amenities and some special kindness. Hot tub was a great addition and located right out back. Laundry room was a bonus. Just a wonderful place to stay when visiting the U.P. Will definitely visit again.

The owner was very accommodating and friendly. Will Definitely recommend to travelers visiting Munising area. It’s walking distance to a Casino, restaurant and a gas station. Very convenient! Love this place!

This is a great place to stay. Very clean and quaint.. great hot tub and a great host. Danielle was very nice and checked in with us the next day to see if we needed anything. I would stay again. Thank you Danielle!

The property is cute, having kitchen would be nice for groups but it is an older building so it is very noisy. I could hear what the people were talking about in the upstairs unit. Also, there isn't a time restraint on when the laundry room is used and someone was doing laundry at 11pm and had the buzzer turned on to alert them that their laundry was done, this room in connected to the downstairs apartment so it woke me up. All in all, it's a nice place but it's better for more than one person and those who dont mind the constant noise of the other guests.
