From your PRIVATE LANAI you have UNOBSTRUCTED, DIRECT OCEANRONT VIEWS OF NEIGHBOR ISLANDS * GORGOUS SUNSETS * TURTLES * RAINBOWS * DOLPHINS * and last but not least THE WHALES from mid-December to mid-April!!
PLEASE NOTE:
The rates for May and June 2025 have already been reduced due to the property wide plumbing project that is currently underway. You will hear on and off loud noise on property during the day. If you are planning on being gone for most of the day sight seeing, you will not be as effected. But, if you are planning on spending a lot of time on property, then this may not be the best fit for you.
This is a desirable one bedroom Direct Oceanfront Corner unit, located on the 2nd floor in the F building. One of the 3 oceanfront buildings located at Papakea. From your private lanai you can dine, sip on a tropical drink, or just relax while viewing the neighboring islands, the famous Maui sunsets, rainbows, turtles and of course WHALE WATCHING from mid December to mid April!
Kick off your shoes and feel right at home in this wonderful corner unit. The additional windows in the living area, expands your oceanfront view, provides a open feeling and allows more natural lighting. You will find comfortable seating for up to 4 guests and includes a flat screen TV; stereo and DVD player. The sofa does have a queen size pull-out sleeper with a 6 inch mattress. There is tile flooring throughout the unit, except in the bedroom.
The fully functional kitchen has been recently upgraded with custom cabinetry and granite counter tops. The cabinets are stocked with cookware, dishes, and utensils. In the bedroom you will find a CAL-KING size bed (Mattress was replaced May 24, 2018), along with a flat screen TV. There is a closet, dresser and two night stands for you to place your belongings. The bathroom provides dual sinks, which is great if you are accommodating 4 guests and a newly renovated walk-in tile shower. You will find additional towels and linen's in the bathroom cabinet.
Other amenities include a full-size washer and dryer and a wall Air Conditioner in the living area. There are ceiling fans in the rooms to help with air flow on those days of no trade winds. The unit also comes equipped basic cable, free WiFi and a basic "starter" set of kitchen and bath supplies. We request that our guests honor Papakea's non-smoking policy and only use the designated smoking areas throughout the complex.
Papakea Resort is a four story, oceanfront, condominium complex and is situated on 12 tropical acres with palm trees, bamboo, freshwater Koi ponds, fragrant tropical flowers and Tiki Torches illuminating the walkways during the evenings. In addition to the beautiful grounds, Papakea provides the use of 2 swimming pools (Lanai pool is heated), 2 large Jacuzzi's, multiple gas BBQ's located by the pool areas, 2 meticulously groomed putting greens, 2 shuffleboard courts and 3 lighted tennis courts! There is a friendly on-site concierge located in the lobby who can arrange island activities such as luaus, whale watching tours in season, sailing, snorkeling trips, golf, biking down the volcano, and more.
This property is located between Ka'anapali and Kapalua and is just a 10 minute drive to Lahaina Town where there are local shops, many restaurants', and the factory outlets! If you would like to stick closer to home, you can walk or take a quick drive to Whalers Shopping Village in Kaanapali. Your are also within walking distance to the grocery store, the popular Farmers Market, Fish Market, and much more!
The Resort Fee of $25 per day at Papakea includes one parking permit with each additional vehicle will be charged an added cost of $5 a day. This is collected by the Resort's Front Desk staff upon arrival.
CONSTRUCTION NOTICE:
Papakea is currently undergoing a property-wide plumbing renovation. This building is currently under repair until August 2024, dates subject to change. We will not be hosting during this time.
Please note the information below:
Standard work hours for this project will be from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday unless authorized for weekend work.
Contractors will be present on the property to begin quieter preparatory tasks as early as 7:00 AM.
To minimize possible disruption, louder tasks will not start before 10:00 AM.
Dates are subject to change. Not all buildings will be affected at the same time. We will not be hosting once work has began for this building.
We have been notified that the project is pending completion, but not guaranteed by June 2026.

We loved staying at this beautiful ocean front condo. Sitting on the lanai and watching the sunset over the ocean was wonderful! The pool, hot tub and beach were very close and also beautiful. Check in was easy and communication was excellent.

This is the second time my wife and I stayed in this condo and we had a wonderful experience both times. The location with oceanfront view is what makes this property special.I contacted the property manager about a minor issue and it was immediately resolved to our satisfaction, something we really appreciated.The only minor point is the condo is a little "tired" and could be refreshed. Having said that, we would return without a second thought.

GREAT location, but unit is in need of repair and updating. Several lightbulbs were burned out, patio furniture is rusted, washing machine was broken, doors and windows are hard to open.
Also there is no dining table in the unit. That would be a nice addition.
Communication with property manager was slow when needed.
Poor relationship between unit property manager and location manager. Several issues happened and they weren’t willing to work together to resolve.
