Ireland's Secret Spot of tranquility.

We arrived to a absolutely inviting serenity overlooking the sea and daily watched the boats coming and going from the Harbour in Killybegs. The home was comfortable and and exceeded all expectations. T he host were delightful with many suggestions of points of interest. We especially enjoyed our neighboring sheep and horses. A perfect walking neighborhood. We stayed a month and everyday restored our soul.

Blissful stay in a cosy cottage with stunning views

We had a wonderful week in Killybegs. The Cottage was just perfect. We had everything we needed. Caitriona very kindly left us some food to start our morning. There are 2 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. Lots of space. When the kids were watching tv the adults had a quiet moment in the sunroom off the kitchen. There is a washing machine and dryer in a little shed to the side of the property which we could use. The views of the harbour are stunning and we spent some evenings with a glass of wine enjoying watching the boats come and go. Fabulous.

It was a great house, the best holiday home we ever stayed in. The host is extraordinary, so very friendly and helpful! She had a fire going for us when we arrived after a long day of travelling, and some food and even an apple pie. The house is very clean, has everything you need (and more), the atmosphere is very comfortable, the view is spectacular, and the location is great to explore Donegal. It has been a perfect stay :-)

Everything about this place is GRAND

Location, ammenities, views, hosts, everything was top notch at the Lighthouse Cottage. One of the best properties I have stayed in and I travel quite a lot. One special touch would be that exquisitely cosy atmosphere a fireplace can bring to a room and our gracious host really took care of that brilliantly. Thanks again, Caitriona! Really, what ever picture you might post, it just won't do any justice to this beautiful piece of property.

We had a truly magical break away in this beautiful cottage. Caitriona put on such a warm and festive welcome for us with Christmas lights, stove lighting and so much more. It is overlooking the most breathtaking views. We enjoyed fabulous sunrises over breakfast and gorgeous sunsets in the evening from the comfort of her beautiful cottage. Highly recommend if you are visiting Donegal. We will most definitely be back. Thank you Caitriona.

Amazing Lighthouse Cottage

Location was perfect to explore area. Views from the house itself was amazing. All facilities as in description and the host got even further with a bit welcoming pack which was greatly appreciated. Catriona was very helpful and supportive with information. I would recommend lighthouse cottage for sure.

Great place, great stay, highly recommended

The cottage was fantastic, location is fantastic, facilities were excellent and the host Caitriona was so good and she brought a dress for our 3 year old daughter as she loves dressing up. Highly recommend staying here and will be back for a longer break next year.

Best stay ever

Everything .. the cottage itself is lovely , cosy , comfortable , clean , and well equipped but the icing on the cake is the panoramic sea view which is visible from the living room , kitchen , sun room and bedrooms . Also the outside area to the front and side of the house was lovely with garden furniture to sit on plus a swing and tree house for our grandchildren to play on. It really was the loveliest holiday home that I have stayed at and so peaceful . Although we did not get the opportunity to meet the host she was very hospitable leaving a welcome pack of goodies and fuel for the lovely stove in the living area .

Hidden Gem

The Lighthouse Cottage really is a hidden gem. The views, the peace and quality are amazing. The most beautiful beache Fintra Beach is only a couple of minutes away as are the Slieve League Cliffs. Fishing tours with Michael Callaghan and the quaint village of Killybegs a five minute drive, this cottage has everything

Really cosy house, views were stunning, kids enjoyed tree house/patio and swing. Dining table set outside. Quite, private location, which was just outside the Killybegs ~1-2mins drive. Tiny beach just down the hill, ~5mins walk, which did look like a private beach.

Stayed here with my family for a Christmas break & we really didn't want to leave. The cottage is so cosy & the views are amazing. Caitriona had even left a wee Christmas present for our son along with loads of other personal touches. I couldn't recommend this place more.
