Overall this was an enjoyable stay and we would go back there:

The view from the sitting room and the location of the house.

The toaster didn’t work very well and some of the doors were hard to close.

Big family break

The views from this house are amazing!! House is a great size for larger families. Easy accessibility to Bundoran but quiet and picturesque just outside town itself. All in all I would still recommend and would likely book again myself. My kids don't want to leave. Enclosed garden for kids (or dog) to play in safely.

Unfortunately the beds were uncomfortable, ok for a few nights but no more than that. Some doors didn't close fully but was fine. One bedroom window didnt have curtains or blinds on window again manageable stuff for a few days.

I would not recommend this rental. That being said, you can’t beat the view

The location was absolutely beautiful. The view is stunning

The unit was frankly needing much work. We had no hot water in the kitchen or bathroom sinks. I mean NO hot water. The kitchen was poorly stocked and dirty. To access two of the bedrooms you have to climb a very unsafe stairway. The tiny bathroom upstairs was barely functional. There was standing water on the floor when we arrived. I was traveling with 7 other seniors making this rental very difficult for us. The dryer never did dry a load of clothes.

Distressing - so bad we had to leave after 1 night

Do not book under any circumstances stay here. We arrived at the property to find it freezing cold and with no means of being able to heat it but an electric heater. we called the emergency line and through the night called on the hour with no assistance. We eventually had to huddle in one bed with all of the cold damp smelling bedclothes on top of us. we spent the next day in front of the oven with the door open for warmth. The owner of the property apologised but she was lying. She told Sykes cottages that there was nothing wrong with the property. it was freezing cold dirty and totally outside of the area of Bundoran. We bought logs etc for the fire on route to find it out of order. No welcome pack No WiFi and in need of a good clean. We were so distressed and the owner and the agent offered no assistance. We had no choice but to leave the property the next morning and pay a huge fee for another property in Kinlough. Shocking accommodation and even worse assistance from owner. Avoid it like the plague.

The cleanliness, the condition and worse of all the attention from the owner. once she had my money she simply did not care that her house was freezing cold and I was there with distressed children trying to keep them warm. she said there was a garden. check out the picture of the garden below

Family Haven

Myself and my family (6 adults, 2 babies & 1 child) stayed here for 3 nights and we found the house great for a family trip. There is so much space and the rooms are ideal for having multiple families travelling together. There is a games room as well as a living room and separate kitchen which was great for the evening when the kids were asleep to minimise noise levels. Bundoran town is only a 30min walk away if you want to get your steps in or 5mins in the car. We had a really fabulous time and a massive thank you to Marion who organised an additional travel cot and highchair for us.

Be aware if you have mobility issues.

There were members of our family with mobility issues. It wasn't stated on your site that to access the living room and kitchen you had to climb stairs. They had to stay in their bedrooms during our stay. Also no walk in shower on the ground floor.

Sensationelle Lage, leider ein ungepflegtes Haus

Super Lage mit einem spektakulären Blick auf das Meer. Nur leider ist die Unterkunft so lieblos herunter gewirtschaftet, dass man sich als Gast sehr unwillkommen fühlt. Einen Preis von 475 EURO/Nacht finde ich hierfür als absolut nicht angemessen!

In drei Räumen im Erdgeschoss starker Schimmelbefall am Fenster und in den Raum-Ecken. Im Raum links im Erdgeschoss weiße Perlen (Ungeziefergift) auf dem Fußboden verteilt. In der Steckdose ein elektrisches Gerät gegen Ungeziefer (Foto). Zimmer riechen sehr stark nach Ungeziefervertilgungsmittel. Schrank nicht zu schließen. Der Fernseher geht an, aber kein Empfang. Zimmer-Türen teilweise nicht verschließbar –gehen bei jedem Luftzug auf oder erst gar nicht zu, weil sie nicht zu verschließen sind (Boden aufgequollen). Bad im Erdgeschoss Warmwasserhahn defekt–kein Wasser. Zähneputzen und Waschen nur über die Badewanne möglich. Dusch-Automat ist nicht erklärt. Bad Erdgeschoss riecht sehr stark nach Schimmel. Dieser Geruch ist auch nach mehrtägigem Lüften immer noch vorhanden. Dieser Geruch ist auch in den vorhandenen Handtüchern. Nur 6 große Badehandtücher, keine Gesichtshandtücher, keine Geschirrhandtücher. Eines der Küchenfenster ist nicht verschließbar (Griffe und Riegel sind abgebrochen bzw. nicht mehr vorhanden) Sammelsurium an Porzellantellern, ansonsten Plastik-Geschirr wie für einen Kindergeburtstag. Kein Sieb zum Abschütten von z.B. Spaghetti oder Salat. Die vorhandenen Küchengerätschaften sind kaputt, wurden ungewaschen in die Schublade gelegt oder sind auch sonst sehr unappetitlich (es fehlen die Griffe, es kleben noch Essensreste an den Quirlen / Messern / Besteck / Töpfen usw. so dass der Gebrauch sich von selbst verbietet). Wir haben erst einmal alles vorhandene Geschirr durchspülen müssen, um es benutzen zu können. Herd-Skalen an den Schaltern nicht mehr lesbar. Aussengelände: Unkraut und Müll um das Haus herum sowie Essensreste Allgemeines: Haus ist kalt und klamm (Heizung kalt). Das Wasser ist kalt. Keine Erklärung, wie Heizung und warmes Wasser anzuschalten sind. Instruktion, wie Müll zu trennen ist oder die elektrischen Geräte zu benutzen sind, fehlen SCHADE!!!! Es hätte so schön sein können
