Great location great staff

Beautiful location with a private beach. It’s off season so there weren’t any parasols up (it’s too cold). Still a beautiful walk along the beach. Our room was huge and very clean, staff were professional and so accommodating. Great breakfast, loved the omelette! Thank you for a fantastic stay.

The TV shelf in our room was falling off the wall but not a big issue.

Loved the private beach included with our stay. Amazing location in terms of beach accessibility. The room was extremely modern: clean, aircon, smart tv and great shower pressure

Visited in October so this may be different to peak season but Ksamil was very quiet and so there wasn’t much to do around the area. We did take the bus which took 9 minutes to Butrint National Park. Went back to Sarande which was 20 minutes by bus

They make my check in really early and fast and the day of the check out they let me leave the luggage at the reception and use all the facilities of the hotel even if i have already check out from the room. breakfast was buffet with a lot of option of food to try. dinner was DELICIOUS a la carte.

LOVE DENOEL HOTEL

The accommodation is in a wonderful location, just three minutes from the center of Ksamil. It is quiet and ideal for relaxation, while there are supermarkets and mini markets nearby for every need. The staff is incredibly friendly – especially the lady at the reception and the manager, who make the stay truly unique. The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed every meal!

The check-in was done much earlier than the indicated time and was very quick. The girl at the reception was very clear in explaining the schedules. The beach was beautiful and sandy, exactly like in the photos. Dinner was excellent, as well as breakfast.

Dream location

My stay at the hotel was truly wonderful! The staff were amazing, especially the young lady at the reception who was always kind and helpful. The food was excellent, the location magical, and the rooms spotlessly clean. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in – an experience I will never forget!

Disappointed by how guests are treated

Rooms were clean and tidy, cleaned daily, and overall comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful — definitely the best part of the stay.

Food was average, with breakfast and dinner served between 8:00 and 10:00, which was a bit late for families with young kids. Beach access was very close, which we liked. However, on the last day we were asked to leave the sunbed and umbrella we had already occupied because they were “reserved for the owner’s friends.” We refused to leave, but this situation made us feel disrespected as guests. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place, as customers are not treated fairly and preference is given to the owner's acquaintances.

It was fair but they could do better for the kind of amount they’re charging families.

The balcony and sea view . The beach was just few steps away from the hotel, which seems like that’s all they are selling. There’s a bit of a parking too and a restaurant close to the beach .

Firstly the fact that they were charging an extra fee for kids above the age of 3 even after paying for a family room , I suppose a family comprises of mother father and children . Secondly , the phone in the room to call the reception wasn’t working . The Tv up in the bed room was not working . They were no hand soaps or bathing shampoos in the bathroom . Half used toilet paper, it seems the room wasn’t stocked before our arrival . The staff were not always available at the reception when we needed to ask for things.

Magical location with a community feel.

Location cannot be beaten - you are literally right on the beach and the corner room on level 3 has absolute beach and ocean view. The staff and manager were always friendly and willing to explain and go out of the way to make things happen. It is a family run business. Breakfast and dinner are provided as part of the rate which was surprise to us but it was most welcomed. A new beach club has opened up next door which plays loud dance music into the night and while the hotel has asked several times to respect the hotel guests, legally the beach cub is able to play music until 11:30pm...it is out of the hotel's control unfortunately.

We loved our experience at the hotel and getting to know the staff who were locals and teaching us how to speak Albanian and also understand what life was like under communism. There was nothing we didn't like and would highly recommend to friends and family.

We recently stayed at this hotel and, although we were satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and the overall establishment, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of service. The young man in charge of the private beach consistently made us feel like a bother every time we requested towels or placed an order. One particular incident stood out to us. The same young man informed us twice about the happy hour timing, where two purchased drinks would entitle us to one complimentary drink. So, we placed our order for two drinks. However, an hour later, when I went to get the third drink, I was met with a startling aggressiveness from the young man at the bar. He unpleasantly explained that the third drink needed to be ordered within the previous hour. To my surprise, all the servers gathered around me, visibly indignant that I was requesting my drink, and no effort was made to resolve the situation. Frankly, it made no sense! Furthermore, we noticed discriminatory behavior from the person in charge of the private beach. He always had a closed and unwelcoming expression towards us, but when it came to local or external guests, he greeted them with a wide smile. This attitude made us feel a distinct difference in treatment, which was extremely disappointing. From the very first day, this person placed us on clearly broken sun loungers. After reporting the issue, he simply told us to use the ones next to them. However, the next day, we naturally chose to use the same sun loungers. To our surprise, the two individuals in charge of the beach intervened and asked us to change loungers, claiming they were reserved. Ultimately, those loungers remained empty throughout the day, while at the end of the day, two employees used them for their naps and even smoked on them. Unfortunately, the consistently poor level of service we encountered persisted throughout our stay, greatly affecting our experience.

Avoid unless you like techno until midnight

Where to start: Service level is just poor, feels like you’re an inconvenience to everyone working there as you needing something is just an interruption of their smoking break Hotel is totally 1000% not suitable for families: For a start, there is no lift, just slick marble stairs with no handrail Secondly the dining area has a big drop with just a handrail and nothing beneath it Thirdly and probably most importantly Denoel have just opened up their beach club next door and they will be playing loud techno music as late as legally permitted and beyond. Despite booking a family room and confirming children’s ages and requirement for sofa bed they didn’t think to mention that it was Denoel beach club opening party when we were staying, nor was this published anywhere obvious. The music was loud from 1pm to just past midnight despite the apparent Albanian legal limit of 11:30pm. The hotel manager told us he had happily given permission to the beach club owner for this. We fell asleep with headphones in around 11 but were woken up at midnight by fireworks shaking the windows. For reference I recorded the music at 80 decibels at midnight, whilst inside the room with curtains drawn. I don’t really know what clientele would find that acceptable apart from patrons of next doors beach club. Don’t expect much from the breakfast and dinner included. Dinner is limited to a hidden menu which isn’t shared so when what we wanted on the normally menu wasn’t included we ended up paying to eat in our room instead. Breakfast is passable if you can dodge all the waiter sitting and smoking at the tables. The beach is jam-packed with no space apart from the beds and umbrella already set up. Despite paying extra for a family room we were told that it’s strictly one umbrella (and therefore max 2 beds and 2 towels) per room and to vacate a third bed we were using, which then just sat empty.

The location is lovely and the view is nice

We booked a suite with sea view, room number 1, which has a sea view on both sides. we got a confirmation that we can have that room months prior to our arrival. Once there, the manager or receptionist Toni looked into the system and saw that the room was actually booked for another couple despite our confirmed booking. Instead of saying so an apologising like a normal professional manager or receptionist would do, he made us first pay for the stay then mentioned the problem promising he will fix that by next morning. needless to say he charged us in the local currency with an exchange rate higher than all the banks in the area would charge! The next morning nothing was fixed, instead of enjoying our holidays we were stressed out because he kept promising and wasting our time by asking us to wait for hours until he has a conversation with the people in our booked room and explain to them there were a mistake in the system. OF course at the end, nothing happened and he mentioned that the other couple payed more than us per night?!!!! anyway we decided to leave to another hotel, which was actually a great decision and everything was better than at Denoel. Long story short: he promised to refund within days the other 5 nights we booked and payed (we spent only one night at the property) but until now (2 months later) we didn't receive any refund. Other than that, it that one night: the Wifi and tv didn't work, the breakfast was cold and tasteless, and the options were VERY limited, the room floor was dirty and the towel hanger in the shower was broken. TLDR: if you want to be stressed in your holidays instead of relaxing, be scammed, eat cold plastic tasting breakfast, please book this place!!!!

Hotel Denoel review Poor stay: it did not provide the basics one would expect from a hotel. We stayed for three nights and our room was never cleaned. We had to ask for fresh towels. We asked the staff to clean our room but he never did. Also, there was no body wash in the bathroom. If we had not brought our own soap, we wouldn’t be able to shower. We repeatedly asked for body wash, and for the room to be cleaned, but got neither. He made some excuse about it being “end of season” but that’s unacceptable; a hotel should have body wash for it’s guests. A hotel should be cleaned each morning. On our first night, the hotel had no hot water. This is not acceptable. Also, there was only one member of staff present, so when he was away there was no one to help us in the hotel. It was a very disorganised hotel and the staff member did not seem bothered to clean our room or provide any basic level of service one would expect. The Curtains were broken too, we asked if something could be done but he didn’t bother even coming to the room to check if the curtains could be fixed. Lazy. When we tried to pull the sofa-cum-bed out, it was already broken. Why keep broken furniture? Finally, we were told on arrival there would be no breakfast due to the chef having to leave on emergency. That is fine, and I’m not complaining about that. However, we would’ve appreciated being told this in advance so we could make arrangements for food. To summarise: room was never cleaned during our three nights, never had body wash, no hot water, had to ask for fresh towels, broken curtains, never checked to see it curtains could be fixed, broken sofa, not being told about cancelled breakfasts in advance, always making excuses about it being “end of season” but not trying to manage that, only one member of staff present, and overall a lazy and disorganised host who relied on the same excuse.

The room was very modern and clean, the breakfast buffet was great with a variety of food to choose from, and the hotel beach was absolutely great! The staff were very friendly and are super helpful! The location of the hotel is great too, very close to supermarkets, bars etc. We really enjoyed our stay!!!
