Alvor Beach Front Line Bay

We were warmly welcomed by the owner, Mr. Antonio, who personally showed us to the apartment and took the time to explain how everything worked. On first arrival, I'll be completely honest—I was a little disappointed, as the apartment initially felt somewhat dated. However, after Mr. Antonio gave us a tour and we had time to settle in, my perspective quickly changed. The traditional style and décor gradually grew on me, and I came to appreciate its charm. In fact, what I first saw as dated became one of the apartment's greatest strengths, giving it a unique and authentic character. The kitchen area is compact, but it was perfectly functional for our needs. We cooked dinner there on three occasions and enjoyed watching the sunset while we ate. We also had lunch there most days. The apartment itself is exceptionally clean. Having two bathrooms was a real bonus, and the shower over the bath in the main bathroom was excellent. The bedroom is spacious, with plenty of storage, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night's sleep. The air-conditioning was excellent with a great quiet function. **Now for the best part: Location, Location, Location!** The apartment boasts fantastic views over the beach, boardwalk, and part of the town. It's literally a two-minute walk to the beach, where two sunbeds and an umbrella cost just €17. The pool area is around a five-minute walk from the apartment and is located near the 3 Palmeiras Snack Bar, which is definitely worth visiting once—or even several times! I found the pool area excellent, with a huge number of free sunbeds and umbrellas available. Cushions for the sunbeds can also be hired for just €3 per day. Would I stay in this apartment again? Absolutely. Would I recommend it? Without hesitation. Thank you, Mr. Antonio, for a wonderful stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily return in the future.

Great location. 5 minute walk from shops/ restaurants. Two. Minutes to the beach. Everything you needed, only small but great for a weeks stay. Has air conditioning which is a bonus. Fully fitted kitchen and washing machine. Very comfortable bed and very clean.

Swimming pool 5 minutes walk away. Lovely when you get there it’s on a complex with bars and a little shop.

Friendly and welcoming host. Close to the beach and just a short walk (about 10-15 minutes) from the city center with a lot of restaurants, bars and charming souvenir shops. There is also a nice pool area nearby (about 5-8 minutes walk) which you are free to use, included in the rental price.

One of the two showers didn’t work very well, but we just used that other one. It was a bit windy and colder on the terrace than we had expected in July; consider to bring a sweater.

Antonio met us midnight at the property and explained all we needed to know, apartment is basic but a good base for Alvor, lovely walk into town and supermarket 10 mins away.

Kitchen was smaller than expected, not really sufficient for self catering.
