Very welcoming farm stay in beatiful rural setting.

Very hospitable, friendly staff who make guests feel at home. The farm has wonderful gardens, ideal for dogs. It was a great setting in Cornish countryside nicely positioned between Launceston and the north coast. Lots of coffee and tea in the rooms; and lots to choose from on the TV.

A welcoming, comfortable stay

Julie and Harold made us feel very welcome. Julie greeted us and showed us the room and poured some fresh milk to put in the mini fridge for our teas and coffees. The room was spacious, the bed really comfortable, the shower was great and there was everything you could need there should you have forgotten anything. We only stayed the one night but it was perfect for us.

Great peaceful location for exploring local area

Host Julie goes out of her way to provide everything for you to enjoy your stay. You can use her kitchen, fridge & freezer to prepare meals during your stay - in fact if you stay for 2 nights or more then expect to become part of her extended family! The property includes a drying room and lashings of hot water which is a massive bonus if you get a soaking on the moors. There's easy parking and a large garage is available to store/charge expensive e-bikes (should you have one). There's a relaxing garden area towards rear of property (easily missed).

The private bathroom (Garden View Room with bath) is not actually en-suite but overall a fairly minor issue

Lovely room in a country setting

Julie, the host was exceptional. The room is in the hosts’ home, but there is a separate entrance for rooms to let. Our room had a small refrigerator, kettle, high table with 2 stools, bed, wardrobe & desk/dresser. The large shower had plenty of hot water. There is no washer in the room, but Julie graciously washed/dried a load of our clothes & brought them to our room. Toiletries and a hairdryer are provided.

Location is quite remote so a car is a must.

Brilliant value, lovely host top marks for peace and quiet. Very homely.

For my purposes - an overnight stay on a long trip with a large van to park - it was perfect. The welcome was very friendly it was very quiet, which I like and I noted the attention to detail with all the items provided (most of which I didn't use) like the variety of hot drinks, the slippers, various shower gels, plenty of towels, dressing gown and so on. Felt very homely and welcoming and I'm sure Julie would have made me supper if I'd asked! And it was such good value!

The only downside which actually may only affect the twin room I stayed in, would be that the bathroom was not en-suite and the bath didn't have a shower curtain around it so taking a shower could be difficult without getting the floor wet. But this information was available before I booked and considering what great value the room was and with everything else positive I feel a bit mean pointing this out. The alternative of course would been to pay twice as much somewhere else and probably get a room worse in every other respect. I would certainly stay again despite it not being perfect! Oh and the weather was rubbish! But can't blame Julie for that, the rain was actually very welcome and didn't stop me walking down the lovely little lane to the stream at the bottom.

Very good for our tour.

Lovely country location with restaurant 2 miles up the road. Very friendly and welcoming and bedroom and tea making facilities good. Even had a Cornish Clotted Cream Tea on arrival!

It was excellent

We did not have any meals as we were visiting our daughter. It was close to Lifton where our daughter lives and a nice drive there. It was also convenient for visiting other locations, we went to Truro for one day which was a lovely country drive.

There was nothing to dislike. The family were so welcoming and put you at ease straight away, a very nice place indeed.

Such a lovely welcome. Two cakes, milk (in a small fridge), biscuits etc. were in the room. Large bedroom. Good secure internet. Beautiful place and ideal for what I wanted to do. There is a lovely garden area.

We were greeted by the very nice owner and shown to own room which was exceptionally clean and had everything you need including kettle, hot drinks, fridge with milk and water and cake! Lovely quiet place, bed was very comfortable.

Lovely peaceful, well appointed stay

Really lovely welcome ftom Julie, her husband and 3 dogs. Didn't hear a peep out of them at night - the dogs, that is. Lovely room with an amazing view over countryside. There was a mini fridge and good supply of milk in a jug rather than those horrible little cartons Walk in shower was great and Julie had supplied toiletries too

Quiet farm stay

Relaxed atmosphere, great value, delicious biscuits on arrival. We were running late the first day but were able to call Julie and let her know. She was so kind and helpful and took away the stress of being late. She recommended a local pub so we could eat before we arrived which was one of the best we have been to. The room was upstairs and the bathroom was basic but perfectly adequate with plentiful bathroom products. A very comfortable stay.

Tranquil and peaceful lovely room ran by lovely hosts!

Peaceful, quiet, loads of extras which actually makes quite a difference, being able to have a nice cup of coffee for example (with real milk) in the room. Bath robe nice. Julie was very friendly and kind!

All good - the only thing I can think of is a blackout blind might be good instead of a curtain as gets light very early. Didn’t bother me but struggling to think of any other helpful feedback as I really enjoyed my stay!

Comfortable 1-night stay for a couple

Julie is a perfect host. We were delayed on our long way to the place and she kindly waited for us with the cakes. The room is cozy and comfortable, cottage design with the bedsets feel like sateen. There is tea, coffee and sweets - all these tiny details matter and make the stay even more joyful. The guesthouse is located in a picturesque place surrounded by nature. We paid very little and enjoyed very much.

Very lovely location, host is amazing and super friendly you couldn't ask for anyone better. Amazing baker, and very family friendly which was lovely to see. The rooms are a good size, (FYI bathrooms are separate to the rooms) but that's not a bother as you do not share the bathrooms. Highly recommend.

Not really a didn't like, just unfortunately the property was having maintenance done on the roof at the time and work/saws being used at 8am wasn't overly welcome, though this is not something the host can completely control as these things need to be done.
