One of the best , if not the best, stays of our trip to France.

A wonderful stay near the Loire castles.

We couldn’t have wished for a better stay. The owner was very kind and welcoming, which made us feel at home right away. The room was spacious enough for two people, beds quite soft but comfortable, and we had everything we needed. Parking next to the building was very convenient, and the location is perfect for exploring the Loire castles. Breakfast was delicious and the ideal start to the day.

Stay here for the gracious hospitality, peaceful surroundings, and easy access to Loire sites.

The proprietress "Li" was most welcoming and eager to make our visit exceptional. She exceeded that expectation. The room was roomy and quiet, breakfast was a combination of prepared eggs with breads and yogurt. The room had a patio backed up to a small lake and several acres of park. Very pleasant for sitting and relaxing from days of exploration. The property is located a short walk to the small town of Biere with several restaurants. And within half and hour of several Chateaus. Villandry to the west and Chantilly to the east. But we recommend Chaumont for its gardens, art, and furnished chateau and smaller crowds. You'll need a car but parking is free.

The accommodation is as described. We loved the vibe - very local feel with an lovely host.

The location was very quiet and peaceful. The host was just lovely, and I wish I could scramble and egg like she can. Breakfast was fabulously fresh and simple. Everything was great quality. The room was comfortable but as you would expect with such an old building, there was a very slight hint of damp.

Nothing detracted from our stay.

A short break to chill

The accommodation was easy to find and a 10 minutes walk from the centre of the town with church restaurants and bars. The host was welcoming, friendly and informative. Our room was large and well decorated and equipped with access through a stable door into the garden and Mill pond which is nice to walk around. The bed was large and comfortable and extra bedding available for cold mortals and those who need a extra pillow. There is also a residents lounge where you can make drinks and a water fountain with a comfortable seating area. Breakfast each day was a selection of local continental fare with a cooked egg option if wanted. Although near to roads there was no road noise to disturb us. The roads one way system on the town was confusing at first but we soon got used to it. Overall a relaxing and comfortable stay which achieved the 'chill' aim.

We had a wonderful time at this charming property in Bléré. The owners were exceptionally kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location is stunning – nestled in beautiful nature, it’s the perfect place to relax, recharge, and disconnect from the noise of busy cities. At the same time, the accomodation is ideally situated for visiting nearby historical sites and châteaux, which are just a short drive away. We truly enjoyed the balance of tranquility and cultural exploration. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authenticity, comfort, and calm.

Well placed property for visiting local sites

The property is in a large grounds with its own large pond. Its about 15 minutes walk from the centre so at night, the area is very quiet. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast is correct. There is a common room where you can eat your meals - next time we will bring our own evening meal because it took us ages to find some place open and serving food in the town. It is very well placed for visiting the nearby chateau.

There were not many open restaurants in the local town - but obviously this is not the fault of the property.

A nice stay at The Mill

We enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts were very helpful and nice. Our room was simple but we were able to walk out our back door to a beautiful pond with chairs and tables to use. We picnicked both nights we stayed because the outdoor area was so nice.

Picturesque and relaxing bed and breakfast

I had a wonderful stay here - the property is absolutely beautiful and my room was immaculate and elegant. The garden and pond are a fantastic place to sit and read and enjoy the sun. Breakfast was always fresh and ready for the time you wanted it. Lei and Fabien were extremely welcoming and we had a fantastic table d'hote dinner together. They were even kind enough to drop me off at the train station on my way home. Couldn't recommend it more!

Wifi could be slightly better (can't make calls) but otherwise it was perfect!

Beautiful historical building with plenty of charme. The room was lovely and very spacious with access to the garden. Quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect and the host is very attentive. Would stay again and recommend to friends.

A very friendly welcome from the owner and an excellent information from his wife about the keys, breakfast, surrounding and the beautiful garden with a pond. Unfortunately we were staying only one night instead of two nights at this calm and relaxing place and the owners were very comprehensive for our situation to cancel our trip in France. An accommodation to visit again! I can only recommend this place it is a hidden paradise.

We had a quiet room facing the garden. The rooms facing the street may not be so quiet - the road is quite busy. Wifi is available only in the common area, not available in the rooms - the signal is too weak. This is not a critique (we knew it when making the reservation), just info for others.

Short stop in interesting area with very friendly hosts

Excellent breakfast and really enjoyable dinner made by , and shared with hosts. Very friendly and charming couple who have recently taken this property on , we enjoyed talking with them . The moulin is obviously very old and atmospheric. Would have enjoyed sitting by the lake in sunshine if weather had permitted .

Nous avions pris la chambre avec 2 petits lits séparés et mon mari qui est grand à très mal dormi, lits vraiment petit en longueur....les matelas ne sont pas confortables. Cela lui a valu des douleurs cervicales. Moi aussi malheureusement j ai mal dormi le matelas ne me convenait pas La douche est aussi limité par la taille. Idem pour la salle du petit déjeuner on nous avait placé au centre et dès qu il se levait il se prenait le lustre !!! Ne faite pas plus de 1.90m. Le petit déjeuner n était pas assez complet le minimum est servi. Pour la pièce commune l eau de la bouilloire était bizarre comme si l eau était resté longtemps dedans, pas très propre. Aucun WiFi aucun internet très compliqué rien ne fonctionnait ! La journée oui mais pas en soirée Aucune télévision Nous étions venu pour les 2 jours de festival....une chance car tout proche à 10 min à pied.

Een verblijf waar je heerlijk tot rust komt; voortaan wel je hengel meenemen.

De kamer en badkamer voldeden prima aan onze wensen. De gastvrouw en gastheer waren vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Jammer dat ik geen hengel bij me had; achter de oude molen lag een vijver met erg grote karpers.

Het ontbijt was op zich goed, maar niet echt uitgebreid, maar meer eenvoudig Frans.
