Unique property near Sakaimachi Street.

The stairs are very steep. Will need to haul your luggage up the steep stairs to the rooms on level 2 and living room on level 3. Not suitable if there are elders in the group.

Great location. Just one block away from the canal and few mins away from sakaimachi street.

Stairs are steep and sucks if you have lots of luggage. Bedroom and bath are on 2nd and living and kitchen are on 3rd.

The location (near most of the tourist attractions) is great - this is the property's best feature. The building is very old and could be called interesting. The bathroom and toilet are modern and clean. The 6 capsule style beds in one bedroom is interesting perhaps for a large party of younger people - a smart way to turn a 2 bedroom place into an 8 bed holiday let. The single toilet and shower in that case might be a problem, but was OK for my party of 3.

The mattresses and pillows are really cheap, and the remaining two beds in the second bedroom are also cheap. The kitchen facilities are old and cheap and even dangerous (underpowered/overstressed electrical circuit). The furniture and kitchen equipment looks like it was all sourced from second hand stores - in other words the place was finished really cheaply. The games we checked were unusable. For example, there was a dart board and darts but every single dart was bent. The other thing that was off-putting was that, even though we had the impression we'd have the two floors over the restaurant, the restaurant owner still stores a lot of stuff on both of those floors - it certainly didn't feel as private as we expected. The stairs are very steep, but this was highlighted in the listing, so just a warning on this if you have mobility/balance issues.
