Great hosts. Wonderful, scenic and quiet site that is riverside. This is a cabin, not a hotel room but as such it is a very pleasant place to rest and relax. Would we stay here again? Definitely!

The covered front porch and rocking chairs watching the river flow helped us unwind, even on a chilly morning or during a rain shower. We slept well, made use of the basic kitchen, and appreciated the updated bathroom. The river has good access to fishing, with a rod fee, and the owners are friendly and communicate ahead of time if there is no fishing availability due to guides reserving groups there. The elk farm is a nice addition; they are cute and quiet and odor-free!

We used the cabin as our rally/reset point after traveling from various locations for an elk hunt. We only stayed one day, but all was perfect for us before we moved to our spike camp. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking.

Directions and communication with host very easy! I prefer phone conversations but I understand not always easy! Very quick response to any and all messages!! Could use additional hooks for towels in bathroom! Plenty of beds, towels, sitting area outside on porch and near fire pit!! Very relaxing place to stay!! The sound and view of the river makes the River cabin a great place to stay

As advertised. Cabin could use more light inside or higher wattage bulbs, was difficult to see. Also, more towels for kitchen and bath.

Overall I had a pretty relaxing getaway. The river is just right there. You'll hear more highway noise than expected, but it's not terrible. My bed was comfortable, the deck chairs almost had me napping, the fishing was pretty great... not to brag too much, ha. Jom and Rhonda were very nice and accommodating. Overall pretty decent.
The stove was problematic and made it a bit tougher than necessary to cook, honestly. Only worked on high and really had to monitor everything super closely to avoid burning anything.
Again, though, overall it was a pretty great spot.

We loved this place. It was very relaxing and cozy. As it was just my wife and myself, we did not need the 6 beds that were available, but no harm, no foul. The location was close to what we wanted to do and where we wanted to explore. We would visit again and recommend you and your cabin to others. Thank you!!

This cabin was perfect for 3 of us. It was close to where we were hunting and wanting to be everyday. The cabin was very clean, up to date and comfortable. A great kitchen, a full bath and more beds than we needed. It was heated with space heaters and we never once got cold, the heaters heat the cabin great!
The check in/out process was easy and convenient. The owners are awesome people, very accommodating. We would definitely like to stay here again. .

My friends and I rented the cabin for a week of elk hunting in the area. The cabin was as-described, clean, warm and lacked nothing. The stream behind the cabin is very pretty, peaceful and has some nice trout. The owners are friendly and helpful.
Thanks again!

This is a quiet little cabin on the creek. You will feel away from the world while you are here, but you will have easy access to the highway when you’re ready to get out and explore. Pros:This cabin is well constructed and stays warm even when it is freezing outside. There are plenty of beds if you have a large group. The view out the front is excellent. The owners are great! You will wake up to the sound of Elk Bugling. It has a nice bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked and the owners will help you if you need anything else. It is close to the highway. Cons:The cabin could be cleaned better. It needs to be dusted and there’s a lot of cobwebs in the windows. Because there are so many beds, there isn’t much living space inside. The stove top is awful and should be replaced. I’m not sure it will ever bring a pot to full boil. Be sure to bring your own camp stove.

Jimmy and Rhonda and their labs were excellent hosts. The cabin is basic, but more than adequate, and only 10 yards from the Conejos. We caught 18-20” Bows and Brownies right outside the door!Very attentive hosts

Cabin was very clean a little small but we knew that going in. Owners are super nice people. I was a little disappointed about the rod cost for fishing. Kinda a of a shame not being able to fish when river was right outside the back door.

Outstanding. Small but functional in a great setting, right on the Conejos under the cottonwoods. Hosts/owners were so friendly! We will definitely be back, Lord willing.

We loved the cabin. Right on the Conejos River, beautiful setting, nice fire pit on the river, nicely furnished, good beds. It was just my wife and I but we easily could have had 2-4 other people with us. Two more would be ok, 4 more would have been cramped.
Only two issues with us: if you are going to want to fish the Conejos and pay a rod fee, check with the owners before you book the cabin on whether they have already booked the rod fee for the river that is 50 feet in front of the cabin The way the description of the place reads did not give me the understanding that I would not be able to get on if I booked the place. It was very disappointing to be on such a beautiful stretch of water at our doorstep and find out that the river had already been booked. Second small issue - this is an old Amish log cabin and has easy ways for field mice to get into the cabin. Make sure you bring airtight containers so that the mice do not get into your food. We had 2 or 3 mice scarring around after the lights went out but we left out some chips and cookies. This to be totally expected in a beautiful old log cabin in a beautiful setting.

We had such an enjoyable stay! It was a perfect getaway right on the river. Easy drive to the Sand Dunes and the Reptile Park. We hope to be back soon!!

Super cute cabin with all the amenities of home... We stayed with an extended family of 6 and had plenty of room. The kitchen space is functional with 2 refrigerators and the sleeping arrangements are ideal. The TV reception was great. No WIFI but you don't need it with all of the outdoor amenities available; the owners also graciously offered our college student an internet connection at their home to submit her assignments. This is a working elk ranch and it was so much fun to watch the elk and look for other wildlife. We enjoyed the river, got to wade a bit, and scouted out the area for fishing on another adventure. We came to Antonito to ride the Cumbres Toltec train but got so much more than we expected from this cute little place. We spent lots of time exploring the river, sipping coffee on the front porch, and just being together in nature. A much better alternative than the train depot hotel in town... The hosts are very nice and accommodating!
