About this apartment rental
Spacious and welcoming 200 square meter holiday home on two floors, tastefully furnished in typical Tuscan style, surrounded by a large garden of 5000 square meters, completely fenced, with an outdoor swimming pool shared with a smaller apartment. The owner lives on the first floor with an independent entrance.
"A small paradise": this is how many guests have defined this property for the tall trees and the orchard that guarantee fresh air even on the hottest days, the large lawn where children can run and play in the shade and the big yard in front at home.
The house is in a strategic position for excursions to the cities of art such as Pisa with the Piazza dei Miracoli at 28 kilometers, Lucca with its imposing walls and Volterra, an ancient medieval city 40 kilometers away, Livorno, Florence and also to visit small medieval villages like Lari or Vicopisano.
For a day at the beach the beaches of Tirrenia, Castigliocello, Marina di Rosignano, Vada, Marina di Cecina are within easy reach.
In the surrounding wine farms you can taste and buy typical local products such as the excellent wine and the famous extra virgin olive oil.
For relaxation, in addition to the large lawn and the swimming pool in front of the house, just 28 kilometers away are the thermal baths of Casciana Terme. The washing machine is located outside in the laundry area and is shared with the other apartment "il nido". Within the property there is free parking.

Das Haus liegt in einem tollen großen Grundstück mit Pool. Im Haus gibt es 3 Wohnungen, in einer wohnen die Vermieter, die bei Fragen zur Verfügung stehen, ansonsten bekommt man von ihnen aber nichts mit.
Als wir da waren, war eine weitere Familie in der anderen Wohnung, von der wir aber aber auch nicht viel mitbekommen haben.
Das Haus ist schön, alles weitesgehend sauber und in Ordnung gehalten.
Das Geschirr ist ziemlich genau abgezählt, sodass die Spülmaschine öfters laufen musste oder wir von Hand Gläser spülen mussten. Es gibt keine kleinen Gabeln.
Scharfe Messer sollten mitgebracht werden.
Handtücher und Bettwäsche sind gegen Gebühr zu erhalten.
Kinderbett und Kinderstuhl haben wir ohne Probleme für den Aufenthalt bekommen.
Die Dinge wie Tischtennis, Tischkicker, Kinderspielzeug ... haben wir nicht gesehen.
Die Kommunikation war sehr gut. Auf Fragen wurde im Vornherein innerhalb paar Stunden geantwortet und alles beantwortet.
Die Lage des Hauses ist gut, zum Einkaufen, zum Strand, in Städte, zum Wandern muss zwar das Auto bewegt werden, aber die Fahrzeiten sind akzeptabel.
Insgesamt ein empfehlenswertes Ziel, um einen schönen entspannten Urlaub mit der Familie in der Toskana zu verbringen.

We really enjoyed our stay (aug 2019)!
House: The house is spacious and pleasantly authentic, perfect for a large family. We were with six and had more than enough room. The pictures give an accurate impression. The furnishings are a bit dated but very adequate. The downstairs stays quite cool, even on the hot days.
Outside: The yard is beautifully landscaped with plenty of shade and fruit trees. We enjoyed eating breakfast outside every morning! In the warm afternoons, the above ground pool offers fun and refreshment for the kids. Tip: bring mosquito spray.
Location: The yard is very large, very private, completely enclosed, and feels like a paradise, however there is noise from traffic on the road beside the house. It didn’t really bother us, but it was there. It was easy to get to the supermarket, bakery, and plenty of fun restaurants (5-10 min) and the hosts were happy to make recommendations. The village of Crespina is picturesque and the surrounding area is just lovely! We spent a day in Pisa (25 min) and two days at different beaches (20-30 min). Had dinner one evening at the port in Livorno. The kids also enjoyed visiting the castle in Lari (15 min).
Owners: The hosts are a retired Italian couple who also live on the property. They were super easy to work with. Their English is very adequate to communicate and they answered all our questions and were just very kind and personable. The gentleman even brought us a bowl of pears, fresh off the tree. We hope that many others will get to enjoy a stay in this lovely home and wish our hosts the best in this new endeavor!
