Riga Old Town Souvenir Apartment

It was located right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient and close to everywhere I wanted to go. I knew from the photos that there was a washing machine, and it worked perfectly. You will need to bring your own detergent. Drying racks and hangers were available, though I would recommend bringing a few extra clothespins. There is a bathtub for soaking in hot water. However, please keep in mind that if the hot water tank above the bathroom becomes empty, the hot water will run out. You will likely need to plan accordingly, such as taking a shower before filling the tub. The room was so spacious that I was even able to do yoga on top of the spare bed in the living room. The refrigerator is enogh large, and there is a kitchen as well. Having the sink right inside the room was very convenient. Cutlery is also available for use. Before checking out, you are required to wash everything and tidy up the trash.

The building is very old, so I felt a bit uneasy walking up from the first floor to the fourth floor. Additionally, carrying heavy luggage up the stairs to the fourth floor was quite a challenge.

The location was great and the apartment was quiet so I could relax in the evenings after class. The place had everything I needed and the manager was lovely. I had an absolutely wonderful time in Riga and a big part of this was having the apartment to stay at.

There wasn't much space (shelves, drawers, etc) to put my things in the closet/bedroom. There was perfume/scented things around (I am allergic) but if other folks don't like these things you could probably ask them to be removed before your stay (Alek's is really helpful and kind).

Very central location, spacious enough for 4 people, has everything you need really. Pretty cheap for what it is.

Not great accessibility as it's on the 4th floor with no elevator.

The host responded to messages very quickly, which we appreciated. The location of the apartment was excellent.

The apartment was extremely cold. The bedsheets were wet, and when we tried to get extra sheets from the wardrobe, they were also damp from the cold. We couldn’t get warm at all and had to sleep in our coats. The floor was particularly icy, and the next day we even had to buy slippers. On the second day, the host kindly brought two extra heaters, but when we turned one on, it made strange noises and gave off an unpleasant smell, so we had to turn it off immediately.
