Aletri Pool Cottage

Ολα ήταν φανταστικά. Το κατάλυμα είναι 7 λεπτά από την χώρα. Σε μια φανταστική περιοχή, ήρεμη μακριά από την βαβούρα. Το σπίτι είναι αξιολάτρευτο. Είναι παλιό, αλλά υπέροχα διακοσμημένο. Ιδανική επιλογή θα έμενα ξανά με μεγάλη ευχαρίστηση

Allotjament increible!!! Ho te tot per gaudir d’unes bones vacances ( piscina, privacitat, comoditat, ubicació, … ). Per repetir sense cap mena de dubte.

La casa è grande, spaziosa e ben tenuta: piscina fruibile sempre, cucina perfettamente attrezzata, camere dotate di aria condizionata. La posizione consente una vista mozzafiato sull'isola e gli alberi da frutta offrono delle buonissime susine. Un vero paradiso.

The location is super (with a car). Beautiful views and peaceful. The pool is nice to have and so is the BBQ. There are many different external areas to sit or lounge and the terrace with the kiwi canopy is really lovely. There are no neighbours and anyone visiting the monastery is almost unnoticeable and very quiet. The mattresses on the beds are comfortable. The owner left us a bottle of wine and some crackers which was nice.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon after a very early start and a long period of travel. I texted twice to advise of our arrival time but didnt receive a response. I called the phone number on arrival and was told someone would with us in 5 minutes to let us in. 45 minutes later someone arrived. We then realised that a key was available to let us in to the garden where we could have been waiting in the shade. We were left a bottle of wine but although the water is not drinkable, we were not provided with any water for our arrival. There was a BBQ but nothing to light it with. The house is spacious but you have to stoop a lot inside which does become tiresome after a few days. If it rains (which it didn't for us) you can only watch TV on a hard backed wooden chair because the only comfortable sofa is in a different room to the TV which I found odd. There are 2 major downsides to the house which really need attention. The first is the staircase which is extremely difficult to navigate. (We are quite young and fit) Firstly you have to stoop going up it because there is a low ceiling above it, it is very steep and the stairs are narrow. The easiest way to climb it is with your hands on the stairs in front of you! Coming down is even worse and the banisters around the top are not stable. It is a serious hazard if travelling with young children. In fact personally I would not bring young children here as there are various dangers outside consisting of places they can fall from. The second thing that should be renovated as soon as possible is the shower. It is very old and small and just isn't pleasant to shower in at all. Surprisingly sleep quality was quite poor which I wasn't expecting given the location. You can hear motorbikes throughout the night and various cockrels start crowing at around 5am. There are 2 small windows high up which let in quite a lot of light. We covered these with tin foil!
