The room was great
Looks very rundown from the outside, don’t go by booking pics.

Peaceful characterful property - but check events
Well equipped and characterful. Attractive location at wharf and close to the river & town centre
I understand this is a music venue. Quiet & peaceful whilst I was there, but worth checking in advance as could be noisy?

With a new sofa bed it would be a 10/10
Easy to find and a beautiful location.
Very clean and tidy.
Host was friendly and communication was great.
The sofa bed was terrible, uncomfortable and clearly well used. If you have any type of back issue avoid. We eventually had to sleep on the floor with the sofa bed matteress because it was more comfortable.

Fan in room was very welcome
Check in a little confusing as owner said he would ring us and message sent instead
Key code to gain access to rooms inside building , door said private on it so we weren't sure if this was the right door
No hand soap in room ,luckily we brought our own

Neglected and dirty
Location
The whole place was badly neglected. The building outside was run down, weeds growing around the building, cigarette butts at the entrance. Then it got worse in the reception area which was dirty and smelt badly, this followed through up the stairs to the room with the public areas used as a storage.
The bathroom had two mismatched hand towels and no bath towel. There was no soap in the shower and basin soap dispensers just a cheap half empty soap pump. The shower itself was good!! Only one and a bit toilet rolls. Kitchen area ok, bed quality poor. Second bed duvet looked dirty with stains. No housekeeping in three days,so bin overflowing.

The Wharf
The Wharf is the best place to stay in Stourport. It's in a great location too.
The rooms are spacious and clean. If your staying more than one night there's tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge for any food or drinks you may have
The hosts are always friendly and welcoming and answer any questions you may have.
We have stayed here before and will definitely stay again.

Nice stay
Was disappointed that venue wasn't open anymore. Also the whole area seemed too quiet with a pot of closes businesses
That the pub/restaurant closed, felt a bit shabby. Once in room was pleased

Lovely flat in great location
Lovely room, lots of space with a nice kitchenette and sofa bed so ideal for a family as well as a solo traveller.
Whilst the room was brilliant, the general decor of the pub/access route to the room left a bit to be desired. Also not having a bath only was slightly awkward as it was an attic room and I'm over 6ft. Finally, there is only a bath but they provide no bubble bath or shower gel

Rooms were tired. Leaking toilet, clogged extractor fans
Great location
Run down and apparently undergoing a change. Pub restaurant both closed .

Just don't do it until they can run the place professionally.
Nothing really, except the location.
Hoover abandoned outside the room door. Still plugged in, cables all over, hoover blocking doorway. Like the cleaner had just run off.
Shower fan was broken and hummed like it was about to burst into flames. The bathroom had not been cleaned at all. Open packets of sanitary towels, zit remover tape, shampoo and conditioner. I was half expecting to find someone in our beds when we came back later. No reception and the lobby area looked like a junk storage hall. Threatening notices on the walls about secret cameras trying to spot if you take alcohol to your room.

One night stay
Easy check in as I was met at the door and shown to my room. Location and views were incredible. Very cosy room with a great night's sleep.

Perfect combo of work and holiday! Great value and location.
This was my second night at the Wharf and I had found my bearings. The accommodation is perfect for what o needed with a great view over the canal basin. Walks and runs along the tow paths and along the Severn are great. Do track down BOA brewery and Wall to Wall curry restaurant. Winlass cafe is on the doorstep. Free car parking outside is a boon that takes away stress.
First night felt a bit lonely but after finding my way around it was great.

Clean, peaceful, lovely location
The room was clean and comfortable. Had the advantage of a kitchenette. Own parking space was a bonus. Excellent location, just where we wanted to be. Nice and quiet during the night.
The sofa bed looked very dated and worn. Tea and coffee were provided, but we had no milk, so unable to brew up in the morning.

Could have been more welcoming.

Great place to stay
The communication from the staff at the Wharf, they helped ensure I could check in later than planned. The room was spacious and cute with comfortable and useful facilities and a great view of the canal. The little kitchenette with a kettle and microwave was a bonus! The sheets smelled great too, which was unexpected luxury.
This was a great place to stay. There were a few bedside lights that didn't seem to work, which was a bit confusing, but there was one which did work so it was all good 🙂

A game of 2 halves
The location is great, host very friendly, we arrived early and he made the room ready for 2pm instead of 3pm, which was lovely. The kitchenette was clean.
The carpets needed a good vacuum, the shower was quite mouldy, to a point where we went to Tesco and bought anti-bac spray. The bedding was mismatched giving a hostel like vibe to what would be a characterful room. The entrance hall had lots of things dumped in it and the laundry was drying on the balcony that went up the stairs.

Good Stay - Would definitely return
Great location
Odd situation with the room and the fact it was the wrong room but didn't have a call about the original room cancellation and the fact we used a different room but was greatful this was facilitated.

Loved location small shower

I have had a number of great stays at the wharf but this time i noticed a rapid decline in the general upkeep.
The shower screen trim was full of mould.
The bath and basin took ages to drain away.
The door knob came off in my hand when trying to close the door.
The clock in the room was not working.
There was a bag of rubbish outside my room when I arrived and it was still there when I left.
Storage of vacuum cleaners & toilet rolls ect in the stair way to the rooms does not give a good first impression.

A disappointing stay
Location was excellent. On the Wharf surrounded by boats, and the town centre an easy walkable distance. Free parking outside the premises. The shower is a fine line between scolding and cold, but get it just right and the shower is excellent. The room has a worktop sink, microwave, and toaster. There is also a fridge. The bed was comfortable
Upon arrival, could not gain access. Rang ring doorbell, owner said he had emailed instructions to access an hour ago (when we were on our journey). Entered code from his email into outside key safe. Key safe empty, had to speak through door bell again. Owner came to door, said cleaner had prepared the wrong
room so he'll need an hour to clean our room. However, he took us upstairs to show us our room. He held the door from reception open for us, so it was not apparent where the stairs began in relation to the door. On returning downstairs and opening door to reception, my wife thought the door opened level with reception floor. But no, there were two more steps after door. My wife went crashing to the floor, badly hurting her foot and knee, so in much pain. We were picked up a short time later by friends. During meal my wife in increasing pain with very swollen and bruised foot. Friend took us first to Kidderminster Hospital (no x-ray). On examination was told to go straight to Worcester hospital where she had several rays. We spent in total 13 hours in A & E. Tendons damaged, but thankfully foot not broken. Very bruised and swollen. Had to get a taxi back to apartment at £35.
Complained to owner. No Bannister for last two steps. No yellow warning tape across last steps (but there is on non step from reception to bar). No signage on back of door to reception warning of more steps. To us this is a definite Health and Safety issue. After complaining owner requested our bank details and said he would reimburse us for one night stay. As no monies arrived into our account, my wife has made several further communications with the owner. One of the last texts he said he won't get paid by booking.com until Monday 7th April, and will pay us then. Although that does seem strange as full monies for stay were taken by Booking.com four days before arrival, making it 17 days before he gets the money from booking.com.

It was a nice place to stay but the bed and chair were uncomfortable with no soap in the dispenser in the shower

Comfortable and clean.
Room was comfortable, clean and well appointed.
We missed on the booking that it was also a music venue but were warned at check-in. When we returned to the Wharf, the music was still playing so we joined in for a dance to and excellent band. The music volume went down at 11.30 and stopped at 12.00 as informed.
Nothing. We would use the Wharf again if we were in the area.

Picturesque!! I would 100% stay again and would recommend anyone too
The venue and room exceeded expectations, it was absolutely gorgeous. It had a bathroom i wish i had at home 😊
My only critisism and i hate to say it, but the room was boiling due to the time of year. It needed more than one fan in there as we were a family of 4 and were unable to share the one fan

The wharf.
Beautiful location lovely view from bedroom window, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, lovely basket of complimentary items for bathroom use and a drinks tray. Loved that we could still lie in bed and watch TV as they had a swivel arm on the TV bracket. A lovely peaceful stay over night would stop again for longer as you are set in a ideal location near to town pubs and scenic walks amazing place all round.
