Relaxing location with a great host

Great host and lovely large room opening into the pool. Beautiful garden and lovely areas in which to relax. Shower fabulous and great countryside nearby.

Wonderful!

We were warmly welcomed by Cyril and shown around. The gardens were in full bloom and you wake up with the sound of birds singing. We had a lovely diner in the town Amboise which is only a 3 minute drive with free parking. All-round wonderful!

We had the 'pool room' which was fantastic! Owners were very friendly and hospitable, felt like home. Breakfast is unbelievable value for money at £7. Really convenient for restaurants and facilities at Amboise

The owners were very nice and welcoming. The rooms are located in their home and we’re very reasonably priced and comfortable. For a small additional fee they cooked us breakfast the next morning. We appreciated their hospitality.

One bedroom has the bathroom located across the hall. It is private (not shared).

Lovely countryside house, 15 minutes from Chanonceau castle by car. Hosts are an amazingly friendly and lovely couple. Breakfast is good. Additionally they provide Nescafe capsules for early bird coffee lovers. Thank you for everything!

A wonderful house in beautiful woodland grounds. The host is a very quiet but efficient gentleman who has the ability to be on hand if required but stay in the background and make you feel at ease. There was nothing at all not to like

Fine for a one night stay, but with a few caveats

The location is perfect for visiting Amboise and the surrounding area.( especially Clos Lucé). The house is quiet, surrounded by a beautiful mature garden, which would have been lovely to sit in had we had time. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was tasty.

We would like it to be made clearer in the description that the toilet is not en suite. In the description, a shared lounge is mentioned but this is clearly the family lounge rather than just for,guests to share. The internet is a problem. Despite a strong signal, there was no internet availability during our stay. This wasn’t difficult for one night, but would have been so for a longer stay. We were told that the signal comes and goes, but it didn’t come at all for us…. The curving, quite deep garden steps leading to the front door are not lit, and tricky if you need to return to the car in the dark.

Nice surprise

A beautiful surprise. A piece of peace e nature very close to Amboise. The room was very clean, with a view on the garden (we saw lots of squirrels!). Cyril e vi were very kind and helpful.

Exceptional

The room is very comfortable and clean. Very big and pleasantly furnished space. After an error in booking proces on Booking.com we was charged for the room more than we expected, but the Host refounded it to us by a brilliant breakfast. As the mistake was made by the booking service, I wrote a complaint, but I did not receive any reply. Shame on you, Booking.com!

Familiäre Unterkunft am Stadtrand.

Das Zimmer mit eigenem Bad lag im Haus der Vermieter. Die Küche der Vermieter konnten wir mit benutzen. Die Dame des Hauses war überaus freundlich und entgegenkommend, so dass wir uns in ihrem Haus sehr wohlgefühlt haben. Wir konnten auf dem großen Grundstück direkt vor dem Haus parken und auch die Terasse nutzen.

Aufgrund der nah am Grundstück verlaufenden, stark befahrenen Straße war es besser, das Fenster nachts geschlossen zu halten.
