The Hideaway is lovely. It has been beautifully converted using unique, quality materials to retain some of its' original character. The finishes are excellent and the whole place is cosy and welcoming. It's in a very quiet and private location, close to bus routes for Bristol.
Communication from the owners was clear, friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Thoroughly recommended.

A gorgeous building, so peaceful, beautifully decorated. Bus stop into Bristol almost out the door. Shops, pub and takeaways within walking distance. We had one foul weather day during our stay but found plenty to do indoors with the television, a puzzle and playing cards provided.
All was good

Aesthetically it was beautiful.
It was extremely uncomfortable. I like a firm bed but that was like laying on a rock. The sofa and arm chair were both also very firm and uncomfortable. Real shame as we were so looking forward to our stay because of how nice it looked.

Spacious, secure, secluded, with garden view from bedroom. Shops and cafes nearby.

Quirky and interesting property. It made us smile and we were happy to come back to it each evening.
The bed was too hard.

The Hideaway was everything we needed for our weekend trip . It is a lovely space, converted to a very high standard. Everything was spotlessly clean and the treats provided a welcome surprise.
There is a bus service into Bristol a stones throw away which was perfect for us .

Beautifully done by Jane and Maria; everything but the plumbing and electrics has been done by the hosts, including the design, bespoke pieces and lots of reclaimed items.
Very comfortable and welcoming. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk and 2 G&T's in the fridge after a long journey. Also a complimentary snack of cheese and biscuits.
2 areas to sit in the garden, by the lily pond or under the apple tree.
Immaculately clean, and very well kept. We wanted for nothing.
Bed comfortable, beautiful bedding, good fans provided for those warm nights.
Bathroom beautiful with a very good shower. Bodywash, shampoo, conditioner provided and excellent quality towels.
Lots of information about the area, along with local menus for pubs and takeaways.
Co-op 2 minute walk away, as is Chinese takeaway, bakery, coffee shop, 2 pubs and other small shops. Very quiet and peaceful.
Parking is on the main road or the street opposite the stone archway, we had no issues finding free parking.
Met Jane and Maria whilst they were doing some harvesting in the garden, apples, tomatoes, huge squashes! Lovely hosts along with the well behaved cats ☺️
Absolute gem of a find, and perfect for a short or longer stay.
Highly recommended

Lovely little cottage with access to the garden, bus stop was handy, as we're shop and local pub
Bigger, more substantial fridge would have been nice

Beautiful little property to stay in and the garden flowers were beautiful. Parking wasn’t far away and a lovely floral archway and walkway to the back door. Nice touch was the cheese and crackers/ G+T after a drive to arrive. Tele had lots of channels. Lovely bathroom and nice and clean.
Personal preference maybe, but the bed/mattress is very firm - we had to put some blankets under the sheet to soften it as much as we could, and woke up fairly stiff.

Wonderful warm welcome followed great communication from host. Beautiful renovations with quirky interesting points of construction. This place was the cleanest place ever with a well equipped sparkling kitchenette with everything we could need. Very appreciative of the welcome pack too. Thank you so much I will be back ….
Bed a little uncomfortable but that is personal preference.

Beautifully restored building, full of character and charm. Quiet, comfortable and cozy retreat with everything you could need. Hosts were lovely and very helpful. They even left a welcome package with milk, cheese, butter, crackers and a couple of G&Ts in the fridge. Lovely touch! Great location, close to all amenities. Bus stops to Bristol and Nailsea/Clevedon/Weston just steps away. Would definitely stay again.
I stayed in winter, so the floors in the living area got a little chilly later at night. I recommend bringing your slippers! I found the entrance to the property wasn't lit at night, so have your phone's flashlight on hand for the laneway. Really not complaints, just helpful suggestions for future guests!

The property was beautifully renovated, in a quiet location, but with public transport into Bristol on the doorstep. Thoughtful touches left for guests and lovely having garden space to sit out in.
A larger fridge would be more useful.

Exceptionally clean. Wonderful quirky decor. Very much to our taste. Nice little touches like cold Gin and Tonic in fridge and snacks and milk. Loved everything about it

Loved the welcoming drink, cheese milk and biscuits which were left out for us on arrival. Lovely view onto the garden which must be idyllic in the summer with all the bird song.

Accommodation was spotlessly clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. Such a quaint place to stay. Shops/bakery/cafe & pub all a few minutes walk away.
A bit difficult to find so lived up to its name being called The Hideaway. There was nothing to not like.

Beautiful getaway. Just what we both needed. Spotlessly clean and the added touch of a small Christmas tree and some decorations made our pre Christmas getaway perfect. The apartment had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed playing a few board games which where in the apartment and enjoyed a nice cold gin in a tin on arrival, again courtesy of our hosts. All the little details where thought of here and we would most definitely stay again.

Quiet location close to a few shops.
No oven other than a microwave oven.

Stylish, thoughtfully laid out and comfortable. The hosts were on hand to assist and where lovely.
Needs a bigger fridge and perhaps another couch to replace the bulky table and chairs provided.

This is a beautiful, bijou place. The owners had remodeled it themselves, with great sensitivity to its history as a forge (the building is 200 years old). Beautiful wood floors with cozy carpet in the bedroom. The furniture is eclectic and tastefully chosen. With a small kitchen and lovely shower room, it had everything that a couple would want. We had use of the garden, which was very pretty.
The property is up a short lane, so the parking is on the main road, or across the street on a side-street. Not really an issue, as we always found somewhere to park.
I think this place is well suited to a couple who go out to eat during their stay. The kitchen is tiny, with two hob rings (so I was definitely juggling an all-English breakfast I had promised my husband.) But with a kettle and toaster, we were fine. Plus a good size dining table.

This was the most relaxing place i have ever stayed. The Hideaway was beautiful. The fridge was stocked with two G&Ts when we got there. I loved the small snacks and milk that was available too. My Girlfriend and I loved the entirety of our stay
The only disappointment I had was that we were not able to stay longer. Honestly the most phenomenal place i have ever had the pleasure to stay at

It was tucked away and the staff left us too it but let us know that if we needed them they were there. It was such a beautiful location and perfect size, and beautiful bit of history on the place.
The only thing was there wasn't an oven or refrigerator. A bit of air con due to the heatwave but that wasn't a huge problem.
