Fox Jaffna by Fox Resorts - Boutique Heritage Luxury

This hotel is beautifully appointed and a real treat to stay at. We stayed in the older, more traditional rooms, which were spacious, clean, and well maintained throughout our visit. One highlight was seeing the many weddings held on the property — a lovely bit of local colour and celebration. The gardens are lush and beautifully kept, and the pool was a real highlight — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The staff throughout the property were friendly, helpful, and attentive. A special mention must go to Scoty in the restaurant. He is an absolute gem — attentive, helpful, and it’s clear he genuinely loves his job and meeting guests. He was a real standout of our stay and made us feel so welcome. Truly deserves to be commended. Overall, a wonderful stay that we’d happily recommend.

One thing to be mindful of if you're staying in the traditional rooms: wedding processions can come through anywhere between 5:30-6am and can be quite noisy, so it's worth being prepared for an early wake-up call. Another small note on breakfast: the options are a little limited if you’re not a fan of traditional curries. That said, we’d highly recommend trying the curd and treacle — a delicious way to start the day.

Not prepared for rain very well given the cost of the hotel. Also a lot of photo shoots on going which made it awkward going in and out of rooms.

One of the best hotels I’ve visited. It’s not about the luxuries but the whole atmosphere was amazing. The food (Jaffna cuisine) was amazing and the whole place had a great vibe. As a former art student, I enjoyed the art gallery and it was a highlight of the property.

The pool opening times were a bit off but I am an early riser.

No refrigerator in room despite it being stated as available in the room description and included within the price paid for the room.
