Welcome to our 'Great Lake Escape'. This four season home offers exceptional panoramic views from most areas inside as well as outside on it's wrap around deck and expansive 450 ft of lake shore. 'Escape' today's fast-paced lifestyle or if you seek adventure, you can boat, ski, hunt, hike, fish, explore caves/and or casinos. The lakescape offers family friendly lake frontage that kids and adults are sure to enjoy. There's over an acre of yard, spacious wrap around decks and triple docks, allowing ample opportunities for outdoor fun. Location on a near point lot and idle zone of the lake keeps both street and lake traffic at a minimum. We were hesitant after seeing a recent bad review but do not read into that. This place is great! Sure the cleaning people could do a little better but after all it is a lake house, you’re going to have bugs. The house fits a big family and they have everything you could need. The beds were comfortable. The location is superb. Right before we came they received significant rain which made swimming unsafe so that was extremely disappointing having driven 5 hours for that purpose only; but we couldn’t hold the owner at fault for Mother Nature. If we lived closer we would honestly come back in a heartbeat!

Beautiful property in general. House could be updated. Check in and out times could be better. The lake was quiet and peaceful. The water around the dock however was borderline suitable for swimming due to algae. The ac and hot water were good.

We entered through a door that didn’t want to function to the smell of musty mildew. One of the sliding doors didn’t lock, the WiFi info was hidden, there were bugs and spiders abounding. Cobwebs and dust were everywhere and trash and food remnants under the living room furniture. The upstairs bathroom didn’t lock and the shower had mold. The HVAC system was missing duct work and it struggled to cool off with the heat. The dishes were all filthy and many pans unusable. The paddle boat was broken and the sandbox was a terrifying box full of bugs. The sheets were tissue thin and pillows just as cheap. The few positives - the canoe worked and we could fish off the dock and the yard was mowed. We made it work for the two nights we stayed but it was the worst, poorest maintained rental I have seen.

We were very disappointed with this rental. This house is very old and needs a lot of improvements. The interior stunk when we arrived. We couldn't place the smell. It was just a foul odor. The deck flooring was rotten. One person broke through in one place. The locks on the bathroom doors were broken and the doors could not be locked. 20 people trying to shower was a real challenge with doors that do not lock. The outside pole light didn't work. Owner couldn't fix it until after our check out. The paddle boat was broken and we couldn't use it. Children very disappointed.The stairway to the upstairs isn't even close to standard building code. You hit your head on the ceiling overhang when descending the stairway. And, the stairway is very narrow. The WI-FI was extremely sluggish. We couldn't stream live sports games. The dishes, plates, cups, kitchen utensils, cookware, frying pans, etc. were all stained and "cloudy" if you know what I mean. Further more, there were not enough for 20 people. We had to run into town to purchase paper products. There was only bed spaces for 14 people. Cots were provided for the remaining 6 people, but no bedding. We had to supply.A couple of good notes - The refrigerator worked great. There was plenty of hot water and plenty of towels/wash clothes for 20 people. We spent a lot of time outside; therefore, we made the best of the vacation and could still say that we had a great time as a family outing although the facilities sucked.

Although requested 2 days prior to arrival, did not received instructions regarding how entry was to take place until 2-3 hours before arrival time. Request early check in but was denied. When we arrived the inside temperature was 78 degrees, because the outdoor temp was in the mid 90s it took from 5pm til 2am to get internal temp comfortable enough to sleep. There were dead gnats everywhere inside the house took 2 of us a little over an hour to clean up. WiFi did not work at all. TV had only 8 channels working.

This amazing lake house slept out entire family of 19. The additional cots were a plus and somehow we NEVER ran out of hot water!! The back deck had a great view of the lake. They also had a large dock that was great for swimming and fishing. 2 kayaks , a canoe, and a 5 person paddle boat were also provided free of charge. The house is at the end of a drive and was secluded from the rest of the homes on the drive. This is a lovely vacation home and would highly recommend it. Also a huge fan of all the nice golf courses within 30 minutes! We had one large issue with the ac unit going out during a very hot day but the owner was there within an hour of us calling. Temporary fix for that evening and the repair man was back out and fixed the issue before 8am the next morning. The owner checked back in with us multiple times to make sure everything was ok. We hope to be back soon!!

The property was clean and beautiful. The outdoor spaces were fantastic! The issues that we had were with uncomfortable sleeping arrangements. The bunk beds were very creaky and it made sleeping difficult. Also, if you closed the doors to the bedrooms they were super hot so we had to have all bedroom doors open which was not great for privacy or some people trying to sleep in

The property was great for our large family getaway. Between kids and adults it accommodated all 19 of us. The house was very clean, there was plenty of sleeping space for everyone and the lake views were wonderful. The home is secluded and private but still only a 10 min drive to the grocery and convenient stores. We had a wonderful weekend. I really don’t have any complaints except one thing. All of the bedrooms are on the second floor. Getting up and down the stairs was a little difficult for my elderly grandparents. We made due, but I think it would be helpful to put that in the property listing so others are aware. The only option for downstairs sleeping was the couch or roll away beds, which wouldn’t have worked well for some people. But overall the house was perfect for our large crew and we will likely be back!

We stayed at this house for an extended-family trip. The house has everything you need, the hostess is a lovely person and very communicative and helpful and the view from the home is breathtakingly pretty. All the said, however, if you’re into water sports or desire a lake to play in... Boggs Lake is not it. We are a very active family who loves to be in the water and we’re really disappointed with the Lake itself. It was overgrown with algae due to the heat, so it could have been a seasonal issue. If you just want to enjoy a beautiful lake view, go in a boat ride, fish and not go into the water... perfect spot.

The house had just about everything we could have wanted except electricity at the boat dock. We had to run over 100 feet of extension cords to charge our boat batteries. The only other negative is that there wasn't a fish cleaning station and we didn't find out until after our arrival that they had demolished the fish cleaning building in the adjacent park where we have cleaned fish in the past. But it looks like they are going to rebuild the cleaning building in the park so this will be a short-lived problem. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a very nice place to have several people for a lake outing. The location and views are outstanding and the property is well kept. A couple of small negatives wouldn't keep me from giving it a five star rating overall.

We were unable to stay the weekend due to a broken furnace. We are in the process of being refunded our money. We have received about 75% of the money VRBO is withholding part of the money. We do plan on using this rental in the summer.

This spot worked well for our groups Thanksgiving gathering. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep, and the openness of the main floor worked well for everyone to be hanging out, but also people able to do separate things like watching Thanksgiving parades on the TV or playing games at the table. The kitchen was well equipped for all the cooking we did. While it was a little chilly to take much advantage of them, the outdoor spaces and deck were really nice and would love to come back here during the spring or summer season to really take advantage of the lake.

My family and I were in town for a wedding. We absolutely loved our stay at The Lake House. There was plenty of room for the family to spread out. The hosts were so kind and helpful throughout our stay! We’re so thankful for the memories made that weekend!
